Massively improved, which would usually be a plus had me not been humped by India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and New Zealand in a couple of weeks.

Changes have to be made, of course. In the short term, Brook has to come in for the Netherlands. Also, I would be tempted to offer Curran a chance of a little redemption.

Sam Curran may be an interesting shout. He’s hugely experienced for 25 and has played in all the big leagues

I’ve never been a massive convert but he’s been treated shabbily this tournament
