ODI World Cup

So a lad who has continually been arrested for public order offences including cricket matches is allowed to travel to the country hosting the cricket world cup? Who was doing the visa application? Mr Bean?

Just goes to highlight the arbitrary discrimination and hypocrisy their nearest neighbours have to put up with.

Aussies batting lineup looks really disjointed to me. Marsh doesn’t strike me as an opener, then two albeit very good batters but who’ll likely bat quite slowly by modern ODI standards. They seem to be pinning their hopes on being 200-2 off 40 overs and then letting Maxwell go berserk towards the end of the innings, quite an old school approach really.

Not that surprising india are playing Australia on a pitch like this. We play them in Lucknow don’t we which will be even slower than this.

The inability to play spin is really showing up the Aussies. They are making average trundlers like Jajeda out to be a world beater.

I wonder how India get away doctoring the pitch, when it's an ICC event? We've had 4 matches already and all have been fairly good ODI pitches. Fast/hard and good for batting Then we have a dust bowl raging Bunsen burner made especially for India who pack the side with spinners.

Not exactly cricket is it? Let's see if they adopt this approach against teams who can actually use their feet and watch the ball out of the hand. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they had a mobile curator on hand to make sure all their pitches will suit their needs. God, I can't stand these smarmy arrogant fucks.

Is that allowed though?

I suspect not but seems suspicious. The grounds they are playing England and Australia on will be the most suited ones in the tournament for spin, slow low like this one.

Yeah I get that, historically, like old Trafford, good for spinners etc. But this is blatant, this is not a good ODI wicket. Surely the ICC as organisers have a duty of care for the spectacle as a tournament, fair play an all that. Today's match is not a good watch. Bits coming out of the pitch, balling ragging square.....

Just watch the Indian batters come out and smash this total now. Easier when your bowlers have already done the job I suppose.

Another 1 sided game by the looks of it. WC hasn't really kicked off yet for me, Saffer fireworks apart. Seems a bit flat on tv. Or is it because we got beat in our 1st game?

Doing Jadeja a slight bit of disservice there as a man with over 500 international wickets.

275 test wickets at 24 is not “average trundler” mind  even if you account for nearly 2/3 of his matches having been at home

Yeah maybe  I'll say the same about Ashwin as well. At home they look amazing, away from home a bit more 'meh' for me.

Anyway, hope the Aussies make a game of it. It'll be interesting to see what Zampa gets out of the pitch. He's really upped his game last couple of years.
Double BooM💥

Can hear a f***ing pin drop. Just need Rat boy to be sent back now and game on.
