Was up that way at the weekend, Arrochar, nice lodge on the top of the loch, pints in the Ben Arthur, would love a place up there.

Do you get the Arrochar by turning left when you leave Lochgilphead? There was a lovely place too about 15-20 miles before you hit Lochgilphead if you were coming up from Glasgow way.

We went for a week in August in the late 90s. It hammered it down non stop every day. Actually I tell a lie. It wasn't a week because we were so depressed we came home a day early.
I do remember doing the distillery tour and buying a better waterproof which had a tartan lining.

Loved it when we went in summer, got Ferry to Tobermory. (Some canny bleak bits on the way over on the 45 minute bus ride like!!).

Absolutely shitloads of American and Asian tourists.

i like the bus ride to tobermory, usually can see seals resting up and theres some cool looking boat wrecks

Was going to say, take your best waterproofs. Lovely place but it’s hoyed down every time I’ve been up there.

Long story but I have to take the family to Oban and I intend to stay no longer than a full day and following morning.

Is there anything for the kids to do? Had planned on the Harry Potter trail but that’s seasonal.
