They don't play 4-4-2
Quite often play 3 at the back as well be interesting to see who they would go for if he gets sacked, signed some quality this week like really good squad to work withThey are pretty close to it.
4–2-3-1, but very much fluid with 4-4-2 on both sides of the ball. Gibbs-White has freedom.
Anyway the point is they play very direct, counter-attack, low block, low possession football and it works. Ange does none of that.
Aye, NES is too good for himThat owner is absolute prick. Anar they've been ambitious with the spending but that fat twat deserves nowt they he's going on
I reckon makes sense, didn't he used to be at Olympiacos?Big Ange being linked, surely they'd not be that insane?

Great set of lads…Quite a character:

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis' controversies include a five-match stadium ban for spitting at officials, a £750,000 fine for a post attacking VAR, and being involved in a separate libel case concerning alleged match-fixing and drug trafficking in Greece. He was also seen arguing with managerYou must be logged on to see external linkson the pitch after a 2025 match, which he and Forest downplayed as "fake news" and attributed to frustration over an injury.
Disciplinary Actions in England
Legal & Allegations in Greece
- Spitting at Officials:
In October 2024, Marinakis received a five-match stadium ban for improper conduct after spitting on the floor in the direction of match officials following a loss to Fulham.
- VAR Attack:
In the same season, Nottingham Forest was fined £750,000 for a social media post made by Marinakis attacking the integrity of a match official (VAR Stuart Attwell).
- Pitch Confrontation with Manager:
In May 2025, Marinakis was seen on the pitch speaking animatedly to manager Nuno Espirito Santo. The club called the incident "fake news," stating it was a shared frustration about an injured player (You must be logged on to see external links) continuing to play after an injury, not a confrontation.
Uefa & Ownership
- Libel Case:
In January 2025, Marinakis was given permission to proceed with a £2.1 million libel claim in England against an individual regarding allegations of match-fixing and a drug trafficking case in Greece.
- Match-Fixing Allegations:
He has been accused of match-fixing and involvement in a high-profile drug trafficking case in Greece, which he denies.
- Blind Trust: To comply with UEFA rules, which prevent individuals from controlling two clubs in the same competition, Marinakis placed his Olympiakos shares in a blind trust"
Surprised at this. Forest are in a blind trust and the day to day decisions are not made by Marinakis, UEFA confirmed this to be true...
Fingers crossed.Sort of fella who could undo a couple of years of great progress because he wakes up in a radge one morning
