what idiot puts their washing basket in the shower?
This is legally the correct answer. Technically the tree is her property but if any part of it is overhanging his property then he has every right to remove that part. However, the removed part is still her property so he must return it to her or its considered theft. He just has to make sure he doesn't remove any part of an overhanging branch which is still on her side of the fence as that is considered criminal damage to her property.Barratts won't give a shite, once you've signed the paperwork and they have your cash.
Just cut down any branches that are in your boundary and hoy them ower the old dears fence.
Thought I must’ve been reading it wrong. How can you have an end-terrace house that’s attached to two other houses?
“we have reserved an end terrace that's attached to the middle house and another end terrace”

Has the OP made the whole thing up?
4 bed townhouse ideal for our needs
Kingsville at Burton Woods in SPENNYMOOR, DL16 7QF by Barratt Homes - New Home Finder
In the wonderful world of new house builds I think they probably refer to houses as 'end terrace' even when the next one is only 6 inches away or summat. That's how I read it when I wasn't thinking it sounded like another whopper from the OP.I reckon he has. Either that or fallen for some clever marketing ploy.
“This isn’t a mid-terrace, this house is actually at the end of one terrace and the start of another.”

Spennymoor...eurgh
I read it as there are only 3 houses in the terrace - his, one in the middle and another end terrace attached to that.
Simply climb the tree in Michael Jackson style every evening. When she asks you to get down and stop it copy MJ and simply say in a high-pitched voice "You don't climb trees, you're missing out". She'll end up chopping the entire tree down just to stop your lunatic behaviour.
Barratts will do as little as possible. We have reserved a new house and there is a git massive tree in a neighbouring garden at the rear that belongs to an older housing estate.
anyway we have reserved an end terrace that's attached to the middle house and another end terrace anyway this tree have one massive branch that grows over the middle garden with branches and leaves that overshadow all three gardens.....in fact one of the branches is hitting off the other end houses roof..
these are 3 story hooses btw.
we have told barrats our concerns they are also aware of the issue as other prospective buyers have mentioned this f***ing tree.
It is now with their legal team, we know there is no preservation order on the tree as we have checked..
whats the chances of barrats getting the nuisance branch chopped off the tree?
If it hangs over your boundary you have a legal right to cut the offending limb. You don't even need to ask.whats the chances of barrats getting the nuisance branch chopped off the tree?
