A teenage lad visiting predatory, evil, old gay men who have been locked up for years? Who knows what went on tbh, not much would surprise:

"He shook hands and he was very softly spoken, a lot quieter than Reg. He put his hand on my knee and the first thing he said to me was 'Steve, you don't mind that I'm bisexual, do you?' I said 'As long as you don't expect anything off me', and he just laughed and said 'Good, good'. He often used to say 'Good, good', in that quiet tone.

"We hit it off straightaway. He was more interested in me and what I had to say."

Well got bummed

He is in cahoots with the Sayers brothers now, writing their stories and making a movie.

I saw an interview whereby he described them as part of North East social history as important as Stephenson’s Rocket (without irony).

If nothing else I am troubled by the moral compass of someone who would glamourise the crimes that these people (allegedly) done.

He thinks the Saudus are canny Lads man

I mean this deal has got to be the dodgiest in football history. Every week there seems to be more revelations. How can this ever go through !

If nothing else, this whole deal has shone a light on what football is at the top level. You've got the Saudi Arabians wanting to buy in to cleanse their image in the west and be given a billboard in the biggest league in the world, alongside someone like the Reubens that want a seat at what they assume will be a successful table.

In the other corner, you've got the Premier League. So inept, their own test can't instantly dissolve the entire notion of this deal going ahead, who've already allowed some less than ideal characters through the door, all while they have the ear of the top six telling them it can't go through. That same top six that bout a week ago were happy to torch the boat so they could make more money elsewhere in a super league.

This latest 'revelation' is deck chairs on the Titanic. The notion a rich property investor would have the ear of the PM is nothing new, and at the same time, a Tory PM would be desperate to strengthen his bond with the Saudi's and so won't have needed an ounce of encouragement to get it passed. If someone like Matt Hancock can give golden handshakes to friends and family with contracts for medical care a football club in the north east means nothing.

As a Sunderland fan, I can respect your club as you have a great history, with working class roots and supported by genuine working class fans, like ourselves.

I’m being honest here but I think you’ve dodged a bullet with this deal as it’s sounding more and more like you would’ve been used as a massive advertising tool for dodge pot owners and sold down the river to people with no genuine interest in what your club is about.
