The facts remain that Newcastle became a steady mid table team under Benitez despite spending very little in the premier league and having to shop in the bargain bucket for players, Steve Bruce has actually been given about 80 million to try and improve on that team and has turned it into relegation fodder.
I believe Joe Linton was bought just before Bruce arrived so he can hardly be held responsible for that £40m.

Do we know its definitely Almiron? Shelvey could be loosely described as an experienced international
loosley yes :).

Suppose Lascelles could be also , or did he never have 1 call up
You can picture the scene in his house,

Wife - “Where are you going with that cabbage”

Husband - “I’m going to stand outside Newcastle’s training ground with it in my hand then write a blog about how embarrassed I am doing it.”

Wife - “Ok, have a nice day”
:)
I love a dig at the mags but if it is him (is it?) he has 200 top flight games and 26 internationals. Comparable to Lingaard in terms of numbers.
I was more queering experienced reg his time at Mags, but poss i read it wrong mate

One of the reason Benitez left was because he knew Joelinton was getting signed and knew he wasn’t good enough , Bruce welcomed him with open arms , sums up the difference between the two .

although I derive great pleasure from any toon shenanigans and have done for many a year, this wasn't their usual protest. No face paint, no bad spelling, no dressing up as a priest, no shop shouting, no shovel, no broken phone boxes and no horses harmed. They are performing so badly they've driven a previously stable ( toon leanings apart ) 65 year old retired man to get out of bed and go and stand by the side of the road with a cabbage on a stick

f***ing priceless

I just hope no cabbages were harmed during the making of this drama, but i fear it was which makes me sad :)

They can't be for real.....I'm guessing this is an example of the controlling behavior that's associated with the Vaccine.

Billy Gates is clearly trying out the microchip.

Maybe creating a new show....."Mags do the funniest things".

Major clutching at straws going on here

Bad signings - Pardew
Good signings - not Pardew

I think any of the domestic names were pushed for by Pardew. Anything French was usually sourced by Carr because he practically lived there.

I seem to remember that Pardew's big demand was Nahki Wells.
