16834 average attendance the year before the Premier League came into existence and you lot dare to slag off our attendances     Just goes to prove your fans never existed until 1992.

15 times since the war you’ve had a bigger average attendance than us.
And we were in the first division in 1992.

Love an earnest Dawnie me.
The sort of earnestness that only the possibility of dropping into the relegation zone brings.
Ha'way Fulham, ha'way Dawnie.
Definite wad when she's being earnest.

Boo hoo 😭

Try successive relegations, three years in the third tier, flirtation with administration and owners running the club like a car boot sale.

Another deluded mag knacker.
Did I say we had it worse? I said it's the worst we've been in my time supporting. I'm allowed to evaluate that. We've had this knacker for fourteen years. It's not a competition.

You've had it considerably worse, no arguments there. I'm sure even you can agree that it would seem you're now out of the woods and back on track in that regard.

He's not a knacker. He saved you and kept you in existence. And he's spent hundreds of millions.

You knacker 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's a lovely story but simply isn't true. The club weren't in great financial shape when he bought us, but we weren't Portsmouth either.

As for the money he's spent those are all loans baked into the price of buying the club so he'll get that money back. They also don't factor in how much of that money was used to get us back up after he oversaw two (soon to be three) relegations. From bean to cup he fucks up, but, the club picks up the tab. Steve Bruce is the latest example of that. He handed him a hefty sum (even if you take out Joelinton) and paid around £10m for his staff between wages and compensation. He could have given that to Benitez. I mean, to be frank, he could have given that to any number of managers that would have been better equipped for it.

"Well at least he's not charging interest," I hear you cry. I think given how much free advertising he's had, along with some of the questionable retail deals he's employed to his own benefit he's had more than enough out of us. And that's before you factor in the embarrassment attached to his entire tenure.

Here we gan. Ashley knew if he'd given Benitez what he was demanding he would have Bankrupted you. That's why he didn't as he knew the Waiter would spit his dummy and leave. He runs you within your means and has still spent a fortune. Yet you chose to ignore facts.

He relegated you

He bought a load of shite despite you all saying he had no backing.

He said he loved you but had set up a Visa for China.

He was f***ing shite performance wise

You seem to be alright however every Mag just refuses to see whats right in front of your noses.

Deluded as they all are.

Absolute horse shite.

The previous owners couldn't service the debt, hence Big Mike taking over.

As I said, it doesn't take long for the mask to slip....

Respectfully, I feel like you were itching for this debate that I'm not trying to have. My point, which was a throwaway remark, was had he just agreed to his demands we wouldn't be on the cusp of relegation. I'm sure even you can agree with that. We never started seasons brightly under Benitez, but we always finished very strongly. I haven't said he loved us, or he was a messiah. I'm saying he's better than Steve Bruce, which he clearly is.

Says a man called secret visage.

Sir John Hall himself said he sold because he couldn't compete and didn't want to invest the amounts required. It had nothing to do with debt.

I think if we do go down and Bruce remains in charge, along with the covid impact we could easily be seeing crowds below 30k next season like.
You reckon? After a year like this with no personal space that mythical waiting list might come to fruition!

I think 100%. At the end of the day, things will be tight for loads of people and the interest in paying to be continually let down will have been lessened even further. Let's face it the best thing about match day is meeting your pals for a pint basically. That's now 95% of what I miss.

Hall's a conman. They realised they were fucked and HAD to sell.

Secondly I wanted the debate to weed you out. ...and I have. 🤣🤣

There is the financial aspect to think of. You are right take alcohol away from football and attendances would plummet. .

 That I'm definitely a mag?

Love it.
There are a couple on here who don't live in a dreamworld. The majority won't face facts in that you are and never have been the massive Superpower you think are. Just a deluded self entitled set of wannabees who latch on to other peoples achievements. Your name Cloughie? Not personally I didn't see him play but my Dad said he was brilliant and a superb manager. We have an affinity as he played for us and loved the Club. NUFC have no association with him yet try in any way to latch on to success. That's what I attempted to weed out after your initial introduction.

I don't know you from Adam however when a Mag comes in peace it doesn't seem to take long to revert to type 👍
