Sadly when they lose at Wba he's a goner.
Any half decent boss wud keep those tosspots up, even Mark Hughes.

Hmmmm, not sure. Wilson is the key. If he comes back and plays the last 10 games, the Mags will be fine. If he keeps breaking down tho, they are knackered.
Not sure, they are shite and have lost the two most influencial players, who wont be wanting to return as quick as Bruce will want them to.

Said elsewhere that Brighton could save them though.

Remember when the Magedia said it was the fans fault, when we wanted rid. And we never excepted him because of his roots. When really its because he's not that good of a manager.
I blame Bruce as the root cause of where we are now, he set the tone of the type of player we brought in. From that infamous transfer window onward, when we lost quality and replaced them with poorer players.

Its hard to argue against this. We've somehow ended-up stuck in a cycle of replacing a departing player with several not as good

He’d be gone by now if the fans were allowed in. The day we finally snapped we were villains. He was throwing mud that stuck and he walked away the victim. Interesting how he'll deflect blame on this one. I always remember a Kenny Cunningham article about Bruce and his time at Birmingham. It mirrored everything that was happening at Sunderland. You can add a few more clubs to it now.

"They never trusted me because I managed Sunderland to 10th"

I was just reading a bit about Bruce's new coach Graeme Jones on the Chronicle online.

Apparently his Dad took him in the paddocks to watch Supermac back in the day confirming his Geordie roots.

Only 1 slight problem. Jones was only 6 when MacDonald signed for Arsenal...

A lad of 5 years old going to the match with his dad isn't that unrealistic is it?

Looked to me that it was Shelvey's fault more than anyone for taking a quick free kick before Ritchie was able to pass on the message. And the keeper for not saving it.

Brucey wouldn't criticise either of those two though...

He did blame the keeper for the goal tbf
“Shamelss”? I’d say they were fighting fire with fire.

They weren't allowed to ask questions in the press conference the other week because they reported on some fans protesting outside the ground.
He's often having a go at reporters.

He seems to be annoyed because the press report the results and talk about what happens on the pitch.
Reporting the news isn't an agenda against him

Again, what you're doing is thinking that twitter is 'the majority of Newcastle supporters', when it's not. You're also expecting people to be sufficiently educated and worldly to have opinions on Saudi Arabia's behaviour when Barry from Benwell couldn't point it out on a map. You're also conflating wanting the promise of a Man City-like lurch to success* and supporting Saudi Arabia.

Getting down to the crux of it, you're a sunderland fan who, because of rivalry, sees the worst in Newcastle fans and paints them all with the same brush. Which is pretty f***ing silly. I don't think you're all racist because of a few morons making monkey gestures, or pedophile apologists because a few still support/defend Johnson, or whatever. Because it's pretty f***ing obvious that the majority of people aren't retrograde arseholes.

*which I'm not in any way saying would have happened.

So the 100k signatures MPs waffling on in Parliment.

Numpties going down to the PL offices. More flags being made was just twitter...

Righto!

Trying to mix them with wanting ashley out now saying oh we didnt really want them just wanted Ashley out.

That is absolute bollocks and you know it fine well.

Pathetic the backtracking trying to do now to brush it under the carpet.

Too late they've got what they wanted without owning the club and the mags as a fan base have once again shown themselvses as self entitled, deluded idiots who would suck off the devil if he bought them good players.

You know for a fact that is true as well no matter how much try and back peddle and denie it.

Done like a kipper

Do you agree he likes to play the victim card everywhere he goes. Many fans of Palace, Wigan, Sheff Utd, Brum, Villa and SAFC would suggest he does.

Someone saying he was a lovely, cuddly bundle of fun when they met him does not counteract such widespread feelings of despair at his oft displayed ineptness.
He chooses his jobs with one eye on the obvious ready made excuse. Sunderland/Newcastle, Brum/Villa, sheffUtd/Sheff Wed. This guarantees him a bit of public sympathy in the eyes of the journos whose employers are losing money hand over fist and need their workers on the good side of everyone in the game.
His family back him up. Well they would wouldn’t they as they’re unlikely to ever earn the sort of money he acquires.

These days maybe but I certainly didn't go at that age.

I can remember very little of the 1973 cup final. I was 6 at the time. It's ridiculous to suggest he was some Supermac fan at that age.

You may have a point about the age and not being a proper fan at that age. But he can probably still remember going with his dad.

It's not as ridiculous as Tony Blair claiming to watch Milburn for example. Blair being born in Edinburgh in 1953, then at 19 months old moving to Australia for 4 years, returning to the uk after Milburn retired.

I was in the Fulwell at 7 or 8. With me da obviously. Mind there was hardly anyone there in those days.

That article is dreadful to be fair. It just sounds like a mag journalist who has spat his dummy out and trying to stir things up hoping that it'll get Bruce sacked. Perhaps something did happen between him and Ritchie but it won't have been as dramatic as described.

Terrible journalist from an awful newspaper.
Craig Hope IS the worst around.

Absolutely despises us as well and always trying to unsettle SAFC

They wanted the Saudis make no mistake about it. Wraith spoke on talksport for the masses.

And as for the MPs pushing the agenda , well i cant wait to meet mine from Washington.

Exactly. If this had been ALK, the new Burnely owners, they would not have been so embarrassing but the vast majority saw pound signs in their eyes which has clouded their judgement. I have said it on here before, and I will say it again - the real target is Man Utd or Liverpool but both have extremely militant fans and they know it would be a very rough ride should they target them. Meanwhile our dozy friends up the road have been starved of success for 66 years and they were much easier to convince.

Manager sits in office and asks his assistant to go and tell the member of his staff to come to his office to discuss in private.

Absolutely nothing wrong in that whatsoever.

Whatever else has gone on god only knows but calling manager a coward for not coming onto factory floor is wrong

Ritchie is an arsehole really.
Good points

The first football I definitely remember in any kind of great detail was the 1990 World Cup - I was 8.

I reckon it was more like Amanda Staveley pitched the project to them. They agreed in principal to put the money up. She told them it would be easy.

When it wasnt easy they walked.

The silence from the Saudi elements of the bid was deafening. I dont recall a single statement of intent from them.
IF this had gone through I suspect they would have been silent partners in Amanda's game. Their commitment was £50million a season. Which isn't much more than a Joelinton.

If the money and big name signings didn't materialise you can imagine the mood turning very quickly
Depends how we were run. If we play decent football and spent well, £50m a season (plus whatever we raised in sales) is fine.

It's all moot now though.
