One is a thread on a hugely popular message board with thousands of members, the other attracts around 10-15 regular posters.
Both of those things are true. But saying you lot don't care about us, or we don't care about you is stupid.

Sorry but that's far too simplistic. We hate Ashley for many thubgs:

Treatment of Jonas Guttierrez, Alan Shearer, Kevin Keegan, Chris Houghton, clumsy attempt to rename SJP, using ground as a marketing vehicle for Sports Direct whilst paying nothing for said marketing, appointung cronies with no football experience being their competence (Lambias, Jiminez etc).
Oh my god. What a terribly person he is. I don’t realise he did all those awful awful things to you. This man needs to be held to account for the crimes he’s committed. Their can’t be any worse owners out there, I hope your new owners are much nicer to people for the sake of your fans.

He didn't sign Owen tbf

True he didn't.

Tbh I don't know how this will pan out and time will tell. My response to poacher was to reply to what I saw as an inaccurate portrayal of wby Newcastle fans don't like Ashley and yes I agree hate is too strong a word I didn't mean it literally.

He was held to account for his treatment of Guttierrez and Keegan in court.

I'm not saying Ashley is morally worse than the Saudi regime I was just pointing out the reasons given by poacher were too simplistic and not wholly accurate.

All of that came after you realised he wasn’t going to bankroll you. You where not bothered about the cronies when he was signing Owen or the zero hour contracts etc. Only when he didn’t keep spending don’t try and pretend it was about anything else. Using the ground as a marketing vehicle, you are now being used vehicle to sportswash.

They worshipped him when he brought back Keegan don't forget, I worked in Newcastle at the time and they were loving it.

Where's the "True Faith" fanzine moral compass that they showed against Wonga payday loans? Or when they criticised Di Canio for being a fascist? Or the zero hour contract outrage?

This takeover has shown them up for what they are.

I do not envy then in the slightest, I actually pity them and the fact that "their" club is now being used for sports washing a regime that literally beheads and executes people on a regular basis for having the termity to ask for equal rights. It's an impossible situation for decent fans to be in, you can't just stop supporting your club overnight, it can't be easy. But then you have those morons waving the Saudi flag and they just ruin any and all good will

Well tbh none of them look very bright tbf. The middle one looks gormless as fuck
Tbf I have little issue with young kids getting excited and loving it. At the time it probably sounded unbelievable.
We would have had lots similar
I'd just hope now after reflection and seeing who actually owns the club the majority of people's opinions will change

You forgot about Mike Ashley being responsible blowing kids to pieces in Yemen.

Ah, sorry....I was thinking of somebody else.

It's a 1 sentence comment in the Times article about Staveley needing permission to sack Bruce.

It is also understood that Brian Marwood, the managing director of global football at the Manchester City Football Group, could be given a senior role in the restructuring of Newcastle, after last week’s £305 million takeover.
Doesn't sound concrete, or that he's even been asked yet

The only reason they didn’t like Ashley was because they thought they where going to buy the league. All of the other things where just sticks to beat him with. If he was winning trophies they wouldn’t care about wonga or sports direct. Remember that protest yrs ago when they asked that ginger lad why they wanted Ashley out he said coz we want a rich awab man like Man City. All off my mates because I live in Gateshead are black nd white said the same
