However many deck out there will be thousands to replace them. That's just the nature of the beast and it does not just apply to Newcastle fans.
 it’s just laughable now. You’re actively writing whatever suits your argument when really, there isn’t one. You’re either a good person, or a complete balloon who actually thinks winning the football is the biggest thing in the world.

and if a team winning a game of football is your life. I pity you,

Yep guess I’m lucky where I work, the mags I know are both heavily against it. Others I know are more like the tea towel on their head type though.
I'm pleased because I know some Mags and I'd expect they'll be against it but I'm just surprised at the general lack of awareness of what these new owners are.
Nope. I'm quite set on what I said. Subjective morality is what's going on with people.
Oh dear.

Given he’s an ex Guardian journalist and his previous articles, it leads me to believe he hasn’t got any strength in his convictions.

Guarantee if he was writing on Sunderland there’s be outrage and something about Roker Park.

It’s really disappointing actually as his piece before the 2014 cup final was one of the best I’d read
Bit unfair on the guardian there tbh. This is exactly the kind of thing they’ll hate.

I've answered that question, more than once on this thread... Here's one from earlier:

'I haven't read/posted on this forum for 4 years, I returned to look at the posts regarding the takeover and I was shocked at the amount of human rights activists that were commenting... Is that clear enough for you buddy? Simple enough to grasp?'
Your owner rapes young boys and girls. Then has them killed. He also killed 5 innocent men for chopping up a journalist , which he ordered other rapists to do.

He also was the player in 9/11 and the killing of innocent children in Yemen.

Is that simple enough

I am correct as far as subjective morality goes because it's true. People only pull the moral card when it suits.
Objective is the opposite, so you're wrong in terms of what I'm getting at.
Never mind.

PhD in moral and political philosophy, are you? Got any peer-reviewed references to support that assertion, have you?

The deal is done, the future is bright. I think people should lay off Steve Bruce. He always was irrelevant: the FCB was central to our issues and now he has gone. The guy looks like he is about to have a heart attack. Why try and destroy someone at this point? It's mean spirited and shows us in a bad light.

Shows them in bad light? f***ing hell man

As the Khashoggi murder won't go away anytime soon your close association means your club will never be viewed as like Chelsea or City. It won't die down and nor should it.
Ah, I see. Yeah we're owned by the worst of the villains. I wish I shared your conviction that people will care as much in the future as they do now. But the journalists will go to Qatar on their jollies, the impact of protests against the Saudis will diminish. The Government doesn't care, the PL doesn't care, the wider football world doesn't care (enough).

It's depressing, but it's fair to say that the atrocities already carried about by the House of Saud won't take up many column inches in 1, 5, 10 years time. New ones might.

I like what I’ve heard this week,
‘how man we are worth 250bn, no one will live with us for decades’
er no, the PIF is worth 250 Bn, set up to create alternative streams of income as they’ve realised the oil billions will stop at some point. Yes that’s right, they want to MAKE money.

Do they really think they are going to spunk all the dough on a football club in the north east of England? are the F1 team they’ve invested in worth 250bn as well? If they do buy Juventus are they also worth 250bn? That’s a lot of claims to the 250bn floating around.
A fraction of that money will be spent on the mags, still great for them and they will undoubtedly end up with a far better team, but they are not worth 250bn, more like 305m.

My Bro and his lads are mags, he’s usually pretty Political in his views on anything, he just sort of claimed the dancing in the streets was because Ashley had left, not because of the Saudis, i says so they were celebrating Ashley going with tea towels on their heads? he didn’t say too much , he wasn’t raving on about it so I do think he feels slightly uncomfortable with the new owners. His eldest will be different, he was probably one of the daft twats in sheet robe and tea towel swilling broon ale at the news.
