£50 million is buttons. If they move ground they'll start protesting again won't they? Like I've said I don't think this will be anything near what they're expecting. The main point is they've sold their souls to the devil. I pray its Mike's last "fuck you" and they become a non destination for any Manager or player with any decency.
Like I said Man City paid £50 million for John Stones in 2016!
They paid £100 million for Grealish.

It’s not an argument J. It’s the most facile attempt at some kind of moral equivalence I've ever seen. You know I know it and so do they. That’s what makes it stomach churning. What @Grumpy Old Man described earlier is right. It’s sociopathic behaviour.

I'm taking no credit for that. That one's down to Grumpy Jr PhD. I really must organise things so you can meet him someday.

Just in case anyone fancies doing something

I'll get shit for this but that might be well meant but its a bit see through like.

Did you do a whip round for him at the time, or just when the guy who did it bought nufc?

That's well meant mate but as crackers as some of the mental nufc stuff doung the rounds.

Ah exile was hoping someone would check in on you  Any danger of you making a post about Sunderland? You need to let it go dread to think what you will be like having to watch us play Juventus etc again if your like this now.

Your owner got his armed forces to blow a school bus filled with children to pieces and killed nearly forty of them.

Your owner had a sixteen year old beheaded for attending a demonstration.
Aye, but he his trying to cut down on the numbers of children he murders. And for that he deserves credit and Geordie gratitude. They find so much to admire in Saudi culture.

You would make a good politician I'll give you that. Firstly you are right 8 top six finishes. The rest were on the back getting to cup finals and a semi final or the intertoto domino effect What helped was the previous seasons involvement which built up the uefa points standing or whatever it was called. So some were a bit jammy but other teams done the same on to the inter toto We had argument s up here in the north east should safc actually apply to go in as it was such a long winded road. Sunderland never bothered but could have one year for sure if not more if they had got there the people going on the trips would not have given a flying f#£_. The amount of people saying I wish safc were Europe but none admit to to ever wanting to get in the back door as you so expertly announced 🤔

Regarding the toons money spent. It stopped after the initial Keegan years then levelled out. Newcastle were then behind Arsenal man utd and then Chelsea came. By then it was largely gone.

Anyway Say what you want but Sunderland fans would have loved them trips. Some of the home games were against teams most hadn't heard of too but the away trips will be what's remembered even the ones when only 100 went to the ukraine etc But these were the rules and everyone knew them.

Going back to the money. I'd rather have spent it and had a go than not. The signings we're exciting times if you think not then sorry like but you must be a miserable person and I am not sure apart from beating Newcastle must make you smile. I don't see the point in supporting a team if you can't get happy over some of the things that happened in that spell for nufc then I fear for you. Trying to rewrite history and say they were not good times I suppose is your view but it's referenced as positive so many times on here as success to make safc long suffering supporters much more loyal appreciative and if you had been through what we have. If we had had European nights etc

The 90 period was generally good if nufc were not in the top 6 then either in Europe or on long cup runs. Would not swap it. It's been said that football for Newcastle was 92 onwards so is it success or not

Regarding Blackburn it's categorically one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen I have no idea what Blackburn's fans think but your I LL bow to your superior knowledge
The simple fact is that spending big period of 'success' is what many Mags are deluded enough to believe is where the club should be. Whereas in reality, it was 2 brief spells of 8 seasons in total in the top half of the table during the Hall era. This was clearly due to huge spending in a blossoming Premier League without the Chelsea/Man City/Spurs financial powerhouses that there is now.

Prior to '92 you were shite with low crowds and had spent many years in the 2nd Division for decades prior, rarely getting top 10. Once the new PL growth money ran out you reverted to type as it was unsustainable and Hall knew this as Chelsea took it up to another level. You ended up as an also ran again in the late 2000's and Ashley didn't sink you financially chasing success. Eventually you started throwing toys out of the pram like spoilt brats wanting that 90's back as that's what you thought you deserved, mainly because of this screaming 55,000 geordies shite as what else have you done to deserve it? This is why we and fans of other clubs find some of you lot deluded.

The Government?

They sell fuc**g arms to the Saudis

I hope you showed this much moral fibre when you had a known fascist Manager?

If you did, well done

If you didn't, stop being a hypercrite
Its now not ok for the govt to sell arms to the saudis but since god knows, tanks, ordinance, guns etc have rolled out of the vickers factory in Newcastle or BAe or whatever it is called now and i doubt anybody in newcastle or the NE wondered where they were going or even cared - imagine some ended up in the middle east. Another "whatabouterism" - is it right to sell arms, not sure. We dont sell them arms somebody else wil. Maybe the uk gov see it as maintaining stability in the middle east region - is it right to bomb civilians with those arms definitely not.

I’ve been donating to amnesty international and other similar causes for over thirty years
Now f**k off.

This whole business is likely to come back to haunt us (mags and the UK in general).

The Saudis are unlikely to change their ways cos they now own a footy club in a place most will doubtless struggle to pick out on a map.

The next time somebody disappears or some director of a UK business, proxy or otherwise, is implicated in a Saudi state sponsored murder there'll be uproar.

As it stands, the human rights groups are preparing their responses and its unlikely to be pretty viewing for the mags.

There are some powerful people involved with the likes of Amnesty International and they can make trouble in some rather subtle ways.

🤣 what profile do you have like you absolute f***ing deluded spanner. You've won fuck all for about 60 years man. You haven't even played at the new Wembley in a major cup final yet. Even Bradford have done that.

Must admit we get a load of Newcastle fans on here some speak a lot of sense some talk absolute shite but you are without a shadow of a doubt up there as the most deluded, tragic, embarrassing, clumsiest kak handed poster I've ever witnessed on here. Congratulations as that's some honour
👍 👍 👍

Mind you, Brady made her views in sexism clear the day she walked into Birmingham

Player - "I can see your nipples through that blouse"
Brady - "You won't when I transfer you to Crewe".

And she did.
I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that when she got together with Paul Peschisolido, the first thing she did was sell him to Stoke to avoid any accusations of nepotism at the club.
