I’m sickened, I’m sickened at people I like and who are friends, who are Mags, rejecting their usual principles and doing mental gymnastics, to defend it.
They are your mates J so I’m pretty sure they are intelligent people. That makes it worse. They must know there is no defence for this. Who are they trying to kid? Surely not you.
Mags stink of poo💩💩💩
🤣🤣🤣
HURRAH

If Man U pipped them to the title again and MBS ordered Ole get dismembered and dropped in acid would the Mags still back him and say we were just jealous?
VAR is a computer so will be spared if it changes a decision, Referees not so much
Mags stink of poo💩💩💩
The return of the great phrase poocastle 🤣🤣

They are, I’m talking women in social work and teaching who are brilliant at their jobs and, who would champion women and equal rights for gays, at every chance.
This has turned their heads to mush. It’s actually genuinely upset me

Don't be too sure. Investment in the region will consist of the Reuben brothers demolishing SJP for office/housing development, and putting a new stadium up somewhere near the airport, maybe Kingston Park.
Would love to see that happen. On the down side they’d have a new stadium, but on the plus side they’d lose their city centre site which is worth it’s weight in gold to a football club.

Apparently the business plan was 50m a year for 5 years into the club plus other investments in the community. Money needs to be spent on infrastructure swell.

The above investment on top of what the club generates with improved sponsorship deals should put them in a strong position. It's not man city though, is it?

Should get them mid table ish

Depends if they intend to compete with the top teams with wages on top of that I suppose (e.g. will they still be selling the top talent if/ when bids come in)

£50 million a year is nothing in top level football these days. John Stones cost Man City £50 million in 2016

Are you a mackem on a wind up? You didn't finish top 6 ten times and I even said you finished top 10 eight times! 😂

You actually finished top 6 seven times but 6th in 94/95 wasn't good enough for Europe anyway. You were in Europe for 2 consecutive seasons but not because of finishing top 6 as you finished 13th in both seasons. It was because you lost the 1998 FA Cup Final to Arsenal and the 1999 FA Cup Final to Man Utd and there was no European Cup Losers Cup.

The same goes for the 3 Intertoto seasons after finishing 11th, 14th and a respectable 7th. So that's 5 seasons you got into Europe through the 'back' door. You got into Champions League 3 times but once was just the qualifying stage and you failed to get to the actual group stages. I'll give you the magic nights of beating Barcelona though ;) (The Barcelona who finished bottom of group with only 1 win in 6 against NUFC in return match)

Now bearing in mind the money that was thrown at chasing success then to win nowt was a failure, especially when blowing a 12 points lead in January 😂 So for the 3 decades of NUFC 1992 existence you should spend a bit of time on Wiki to check your history. You seem to embelish it even though you were only top half of the table a total of 8 seasons in the Hall 'glory' years and got into Europe via the 'back door' 5 times and won nowt 🤪

I love it when Mags post shite and I get dragged into checking stats/history to show them up as talking shite. To be honest, I thought their 90's period was better than than until I checked and saw it wasn't all 'glory' as it was mainly 2 different spells of a few seasons up the top.

Why over 2 decades later don't the Blackburn fans go on like the Mags after 'brief' success due to the influx of huge money in the Premier League and spend willy nilly? In the 90's, Blackburn got top 7 for 5 out of 6 seasons and actually won the Premier League in 1995 so they'd then won the league 3 times (1 less than Mags) and the FA Cup 6 times (same as the Mags) 🤔🤪
You would make a good politician I'll give you that. Firstly you are right 8 top six finishes. The rest were on the back getting to cup finals and a semi final or the intertoto domino effect What helped was the previous seasons involvement which built up the uefa points standing or whatever it was called. So some were a bit jammy but other teams done the same on to the inter toto We had argument s up here in the north east should safc actually apply to go in as it was such a long winded road. Sunderland never bothered but could have one year for sure if not more if they had got there the people going on the trips would not have given a flying f#£_. The amount of people saying I wish safc were Europe but none admit to to ever wanting to get in the back door as you so expertly announced 🤔

Regarding the toons money spent. It stopped after the initial Keegan years then levelled out. Newcastle were then behind Arsenal man utd and then Chelsea came. By then it was largely gone.

Anyway Say what you want but Sunderland fans would have loved them trips. Some of the home games were against teams most hadn't heard of too but the away trips will be what's remembered even the ones when only 100 went to the ukraine etc But these were the rules and everyone knew them.

Going back to the money. I'd rather have spent it and had a go than not. The signings we're exciting times if you think not then sorry like but you must be a miserable person and I am not sure apart from beating Newcastle must make you smile. I don't see the point in supporting a team if you can't get happy over some of the things that happened in that spell for nufc then I fear for you. Trying to rewrite history and say they were not good times I suppose is your view but it's referenced as positive so many times on here as success to make safc long suffering supporters much more loyal appreciative and if you had been through what we have. If we had had European nights etc

The 90 period was generally good if nufc were not in the top 6 then either in Europe or on long cup runs. Would not swap it. It's been said that football for Newcastle was 92 onwards so is it success or not

Regarding Blackburn it's categorically one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen I have no idea what Blackburn's fans think but your I LL bow to your superior knowledge

£50 million is buttons. If they move ground they'll start protesting again won't they? Like I've said I don't think this will be anything near what they're expecting. The main point is they've sold their souls to the devil. I pray its Mike's last "fuck you" and they become a non destination for any Manager or player with any decency.

Would love to see that happen. On the down side they’d have a new stadium, but on the plus side they’d lose their city centre site which is worth it’s weight in gold to a football club.
It's about the only thing their stadium gets right, great location, properly in the city, mebbes they could become Newcastle Falcons FC and complete John f***ing Hall's masterplan, somewhere on a ring road with no Strawberry to guzzle in

Love Karen Brady now too

‘Supporters interviewed about their view on the new owner being Saudi, with their — how shall we put it kindly? — dubious moral dilemmas, said this was an issue for another day.’

They should belong to the fans and city. That can only be guaranteed if football clubs are obliged to become majority fan owned, like 50+1 in Germany.

Agreed.
But the premiership is big business now. Lockdown proved they don't need fans in the ground, as long as the TV advertising is there and the TV money is coming in.

The case of Wimbledon moving to MK Don's as well....

You appear to have omitted mentioning an awful lot of the comments on here?

You got bought out by someone - you can't control that.

But an awful lot of the criticism is directed at things you can have control over.

There are nufc fans being criticised for hurling abuse at the widow of a murdered journalist.

There are nufc fans being criticised for throwing around "what about isms" regarding Disney and Sheffield United as if its the same?
The sportswashing has begun already and actually being carried out by nufc fan's online?

There are nufc supporter LGBTQ groups welcoming the new owners while new KSA nufc supporter accounts tell gay supporters to "die", and that "they have no rights to be recognised ".

While you might make make some points about certain things?
The stuff you omit to comment upon is very telling.
The only Newcastle fan I have control of is myself.

I no longer go to games or subscribe to Sky, neither of which are connected to this deal, so I'm not contributing to the club. I have an £18 per annum internet streaming service.

The only time I see what some bellend has written is when it is repeated on here and portrayed as the thoughts of all Newcastle fans which is a grossly unfair generalisation.

The other generalisation that grates is the repeated claims on here that you lot are somehow different to people who you work with or live close to. You're not. You have just as many bellends and just as many decent folk. The idea that if the roles were reversed you wouldn't have knackers waving the Saudi flag is laughable.
