I don't buy this either it's been going on for 18 months.

Nothing stopping you supporting the amnesty international protests too if you feel that strongly. I look forward to seeing you there.
Talking about something and making it happen are two different things

Under Boris, a large proportion of government bills are passed right at the end of the session. I presume you don’t mind that either

We're going to go round in circles on this mind if the mags keep up the whataboutery. A football club should represent the community and the fans. The fans should have a voice when it comes to who is in charge. Disney is different, they've got some shares. Yes you could choose to boycott every company they have shares in but, given how many dodgy regimes have shares in various companies, you might be left with very few products and services to use.

That's not the same as this though. If the mags genuinely had a conscience they could say that they don't want this regime associated with their club and their city. It reflects on the supporters much more than whether they subscribe to Disney+. Effectively your club is now Saudi Arabia. Many of your fans say Ashley hated you, your new owners are hardline Islamics who no doubt take a very dim view of the common image of Newcastle. They basically think you're infidels but they'll use you for their own purposes. I don't really give a fuck if some shareholders from a streaming company I use think I'm an infidel. I wouldn't want it from the owners of my football club though. I wouldn't want them using my club's name to sportswash their image. If you're fine with it then crack on, loads of ours would be too, but stop the whataboutery, it does you no favours and drags the thread in circles
Spot on as usual marra

My point was that Boris had plenty of time to lean on the PL and share his concerns. He didn't. The Tories will see this as a win.

Im just waiting for the Bobbys ghost picture, you know its coming.
Ghost of Bobby castrating a gay.
Ghost of Bobby gouging out the eyes of an adultress.
Ghost of Bobby mincing up a journalist. Ghost of Bobby flying a plane into the Twin Towers.
Ghost of lobbing a bomb onto Yemeni children.
There could be a whole series. It's what the Ghost of Bobby would want.

Here's your chance. What's your position on the Saudis and a bloke who's given the Conservative party hundreds of thousands of pounds owning NUFC ?
He's probably fairly comfortable with a bit flirting with fascism like the band in his avatar who twice named themselves after bits of Nazi terminology

Some fans also wore berets and carried baguettes yet weren't ardent supporters of Napoleon FFS.
Two facts
1. Napoleonis dead and has been for some time.
2. he also hadnt just bought your football club.

Are you seriously trying to distance the Saudi regime buying your club from Newcastle fans choosing to wear Saudi national dress? Are you trying ot say they weren't dressed in Saudi style outfits in support of your new owners?
f***ing hell man.

So if Hitler had bought your club, would you be saying "Yes they're wearing Nazi uniforms, but it doesn't make them supporters of the Nazi party!"

This is the absolute finest whataboutery I've ever seen.
The fans themselves when interviewed talked about how the celebration was about getting our club back. Sam fender on the BBC said it was because Ashley was gone.

You are acting like they were celebrating the Saudi regime - that's not true.
I'm not saying that we wouldn't have had some mouth breathers of our own acting the same, but it wasn't about that. If it was, you wouldn't have had people waving Saudi flags and wearing teatowels around their heads outside SJP.

"Getting our club back" is one of several things that Newcastle fans say a lot that doesn't actually mean anything. I have zero idea how your club passing from one rich person who had no previous links to Newcastle to a group of rich people who have no previous links to Newcastle has anything to do with the fans "getting the club back".

They have a huge four months ahead of them. Whether it’s a new manager, or the players they desperately need, they are going to get ripped off at every turn and they know it.

For example if the Martial stuff is right, I am in no doubt that Utd will gleefully accept in excess of £50-60m for him as his real value is probably around half that. Of course the agent will want a good cut and I suspect Anthony will want a very good salary to leave Cheshire. That one signing could easily cost them £100m+

The deluded ones that want Kane are in for a shock. Levy will push for closer to £200m and Harry will want £500k a week to move from the capital to the north. If it ever went through, the deal would probably cost them north of £300m

Much more than £200m. Kween Manda is about to discover that there's a 50% premium on any asking price when she comes calling.

It's not the same and deep down, assuming you have any sort of moral compass, you know it.

You can splutter all you want but the fact remains that your beloved NUFC is now owned by murderous regime - and rest assured we and the rest of the football world will never tire of reminding you.
Moral compass? Cough.. we built our nation to what it is today from the British Empire.

That's not what I'm saying at all. Ive already explained that every club has some bellends. These fans however are likely idiots just happy to be super rich - I highly doubt they have considered the fact it's backing an murderous state, because they are in fact idiots. I'm not condoning it at all, but the vast majority of the fans there were not dressed like that.
Brilliant - so they dressed up in Saudi National dress and carried Saudi flags in the expectation that your scouts will now uncover a few good Saudi footballers?
See my other response to this.
Would they fuck man stop talking absolute shite. Yes you would have celebrated but not to the extent of that. You know it and I know it stop pretending otherwise you're making yourself look stupid
You dodged the other question I asked - will you be out protesting against our takeover or not? Surely if this is angering you this much, you will rightly be out protesting the owners?
