only in football could someone who is extremely average at job ( and that's being generous ) get consistently good managerial posts, us, mags, villa, brum . palace . hull sheff wed/utd fail most of time and be paid millions for it.

The crazy thing is even good / great managers have found it difficult to cross the divide and manage a rival yet this fuckers managed Brum and Villa / Both Sheffield clubs and us and them

In truth, he's probably not as terrible a manager as we and the mags would like to believe. That's not to say he's very good mind, but he's not terrible either.

I have very little time for him purely because of the drivel he's come out with since his sacking here, rewriting history, rather than the actual football served up.

He's not bad in the transfer market, and I think when you're his player, his man management is probably quite good. Terrible when you're not his man though (see Kenwyne).

Tactically, he's inept.
As you say, tactically hopeless and completely reliant on the transfer market. When he gets it right then the talent in the side will see his teams do ok. They’re decent players doing a job but there’s no game plan or savvy that will see them challenge decent sides.

When he gets the transfers wrong it’s horrific. That side he built in 2011 was always going to be a car crash. Just a jumble of players with no fucks given as to how they’d play together as a cohesive unit.

Should be an interesting few years as history suggests this will turn into a massive clusterfuck.
It’s likely to end with a few of the unwashed jumping off the Tyne bridge

Premier League receive legally-binding assurances from KSA guaranteeing “separation” and that it will not control #NUFC. This was the major stumbling block to takeover, more than human rights or broadcast rights, and deal should go through within 24 hours. (Henry Winter)

WTF!?
