Pleased you see sense. Well done. You’re definitely not no
I think you mat be correct sir. Not unfortunate for me though. I am against it so no skin of my nose to be honest. I will survive, more time to watch Horse Racing I guess. From what I have seen the vast majority of Mags are deliriously happy with the new owners. That is to their eternal shame. If you are against this ownership then credit to you and I am pleased to hear. Unfortunately for you it appears there is condemnation from around the world and the abiding image of your fans is exceptionally poor. I think this is going to persist and possibly get worse.
Is that the Lashes end?Wrong stand for that.
“People I have dealt with so far on the ground here in Newcastle” = “the department below the one that does the atrocities ”.
Work on improving the infrastructure has started already I see!
Looks like a new set of Gallows for the Gallowgate End to restore the history of the stand's name for the Half Time entertainment

They still think they can bluff their way out of it until it blows over. It won’t.So the owners on the ground are ok but his tweet was deleted as it may have been deemed insensitive?
little tip if you happen to see this keef. When one is in a hole, stop digging ya f**king moron. Thick as a co-op sausage ( beef of course)
You sure?Wrong stand for that.
David Squires is a genius. It reads like a Viz cartoon but is 100% based in fact
You’d think they’d be smart enough to appreciate that this takeover wasnt going to be universally popular and would have tempered their output accordingly. But oh no, let’s dive all the way in. If they just stuck to their jobs and did some actual reporting they wouldn’t need to delete anything. Journalists my hoop. Utterly Cupid stunts. They still think they can bluff their way out of it until it blows over. It won’t.
As I say credit to you. It's so easy for me to say but I am sure I wouldn't go back if these people bought Sunderland. It is a sign of how bad football has got but has low descended to a whole new level. The idea that Khashoggi's murderer owns a Premier League is almost unthinkable.Pleased you see sense. Well done.

Can you pm someone on Twitter? Any other suggestions how I could contact her? @The Hunter - can you help?I really think something like this should be done, but would be 1000 times more effective if it was a group of fans, including Newcastle ones, and not just Sunderland. I know it wouldn't be the intention, but it would seem a bit cheap to use something like the Khashoggi killing in a way which some would perceive as simply wanting to have a dig at our rivals. A group of fans across the North East who are opposed to having this regime involved in our region would be much stronger. As would the message to the Saudis if there were Newcastle fans involved. Finding any who genuinely want to raise funds for Yemen / keep pressure on regarding Khashoggi might be a challenge though.

And if they think this is going away they are even dumber than I thought. Theres a whole world outside of the Geordie nation and it’s looking directly at them.

She should be expelled from labour93% of what?
A f***ing Chronicle Poll?
Do you really believe 93%of NUFC supporters agree with is?
No need for fatigue. I do not support it so no need for fatigue. She does not represent the Labour Party, as a whole. Just like those outside the ground, or responding to a Chronicle Poll, do represent NUFC fans as a whole.
To be fair I think the fans are being mentioned as one because there has been almost no dissenting voices. If there were a few daft lads with tea towels on their head celebrating, but also a supporters Trust and an LGBTQ group talking about their serious misgivings, if a good percentage of fans on social media were expressing their dissatisfaction with the Saudis being in charge of their club, then they'd maybe have to be careful to say which group of fans they mean. As it is, there's been at best silence from some, and celebration /defending the regime from the rest. Until some mags really come out against it, they'll be lumped together as all accepting itThink Phillipe and Natasha are spot on. Not surprised with the wording of Glendenning's input though, deliberately barbed as he always is about us. Max is right that fans will defend their club when they feel it's being attacked.
I think Phillipe's insistence that they're not attacking the club, is misguided. The fans 'feel' like the club is being attacked. Look at the Squires piece, look at the inches of criticism of the fans (not some of the fans, or these particular fans, but "the fans" in general). Compare those inches dedicated to the inches criticising the Premier League, Ashley, or the British Government. Of course the fans feel like the club is being attacked, so of course they'll defend.
It's not what they should be doing, but it's not surprising, or unique to us. Said previously, if the critics chose their phrasing more carefully, the fans wouldn't feel so attacked, but why are they going to bother choosing their words more carefully?
Worse. Nothing is being done in the best possible taste.
You can only PM someone if they're following you and vice versa.

But is it swings and roundabouts? How did you expect other (non-Newcastle supporting) folk to react when the first and most obvious demonstration of the takeover news on Tyneside was a mass gathering at SJP of tea-towel/bedsheet wearing, lager-swilling f***ing numpties celebrating becoming the richest club in the world (allegedly). If it was a celebration of the removal of MA then fine, but it wasn't was it, not in a million years. Every one of those people outside SJP never for one moment considered the implications of the takeover and the people behind it. If they had and realised who they were even tacitly condoning they wouldn't have done it. If they DID consider it and simply thought "nah fuck it, I'm on the lash" (pun intended) then they deserve everything that's came their way. The savaging of the rest of your support, and by extension the club, is the unintended consequence of that. It was both gormless and classless.Think Phillipe and Natasha are spot on. Not surprised with the wording of Glendenning's input though, deliberately barbed as he always is about us. Max is right that fans will defend their club when they feel it's being attacked.
