@AdamCrafton_: Hi @UtdwithPride would you like to explain how your position on glossing over human rights abuses has evolved?

That’s easy - this lot of people who kill people just for being gay will potentially buy some good players for the mags - that’s not glossing over at all!

Wow the arrogance of this post. It's almost if you weren't neglected at all. Saved from bankruptcy and propped up with an interest free loan. 12 years of Premier League stability punctured by 2 Championship wins bankrolled by your erm neglectful owner. Chuck in a top 5 finish and a European and FA Cup quarter final. A world class manager you all adored, plus Shearer and Keegan who you all craved. Broken your transfer record twice. But yeah, imagine if you had been a 'lesser club'.

When you sign Phil Jones and Ross Barkley then spunk 400k a week on Aaron Ramsey as your marquee signing I'm sure the top 4 will be quaking in their boots.
Don't forget, they spent almost £100m on transfer fees in 15/16 including Wijnaldum et al., yet they still got relegated. Who's fault? Ashley's.

Leave your bitter left bile to other threads .
Starmer and Labour are just as bad and you’re local Labour Newcastle Mp has even helped facilitate the deal.
Let’s not turn this thread into a political shit fest .
It’s about the mags .
Shurrup man. You love a despot and pray to the altar of fascism every day. It just so happens these particular fascists aren’t on your ‘side’. Absolute hypocrite that you are.

The Saudi takeover will be commercially driven and not a vanity project- unlike Chelsea and Man City projects.
Large sums of money will not be thrown at Newcastle . The quickest way to deplete a wealth fund will be to throw money at a football club.
Apart from the obvious sportswashing angle there will be a corporate marketing objective ; football will be used as a conduit for attracting and entertaining investors both at Newcastle and in particular when the club are playing in London.
Of course the profile of the club will be raised. Of course better players will come in.
But the Geordie nation will at some point receive a reality check and the current euphoria may in the future be viewed as yet another false dawn.
A sovereign wealth fund is supposed to be a professionally run investment vehicle for the nation. Whether that applies in Saudi is of course the question.

Kane man, ha ha ha ha ha like he'd ever entertain them!

He's only leaving Spurs because he's getting towards the back end of his career and wants to win something. Why would he then sign for a club not playing in Europe and carry on winning fuck all.

They can have Martial, he's never looked interested for the last few years anyway, total mercenary

Agreed mate, but you can see the clowns of Twitter talking about Kane 😂

One on five live yesterday from Newcastle pride. Adrian Chiles said you are on here to state your feelings regards regime. He said he just wants best for his club and it's for amnesty and government to deal with that. Chiles couldn't quite believe it.
After decades of fighting persecution the wider LGBT community will be delighted. The bisexuals won’t know which way to turn.

Actually this is all good - the LGBT community are well organized and not afraid of a fight. This will really piss them off! Some big LGBT demos at the Amputation Arena will go down well

I really thought that the LBGT community in Newcastle would have been one of the few groups to have the balls and decency to criticise this whole thing.
