I went to an evening with Peter Reid and Super Kev at the SoL about 2 and a half years ago now. Downie was hosting it. Have to say I’ve never met a more arrogant man, shushing people when he was talking on the mic etc… almost like we were a bunch of naughty schoolchildren.

I thought he was a twat then but the way he has gone on since the takeover has been shameful and embarrassing. If it was up to me he wouldn’t be allowed through the doors of the SoL again.

I noticed in the press release it made reference to many teams visiting the middle east for warm weather training. No specific reference to Saudi.

The mags also mention the Super Cup etc. but they visited due to commercial obligations.

The players will be bored out of their minds!

Listen Eddie has hit paydirt here and he knows it. He’s going to make sure as many of his family/pals/associates have their snouts in the Saudi trough as possible. In a few months time when they’ve scouted the square root of Chris wood - sorry fuck all - the same people on Twitter will be crying nepotism
