agree, west ham seem to be tiring ( europe possibly kicking in ? ) could do with a bit freshening up. Lingard knows the place, be a logical loan/signing

Man Utd probably won't want him to go to a possible rival for a top 4 space, i cant see West ham getting top 4 right now but if they got Lingard (and he was as good as last time) and a couple other signings this window they'd be a serious contender. Man Utd will just see Newcastle as a bag of money they can rinse and certainly not a rival no matter what some Newcastle fans believe.

I used to enjoy George's work and compared to Edwards et al he was far more neutral and seemed to actually want the best for all NE clubs. As you said with his comments about Di Canio, he's an embarrassment now, nothing to say about the horrendous Saudi owners. He's nothing more than a fanzine writer playing to the crowd.
