I don't think that it's the place of the a Premier League or football to stand up to foreign states. Saudi and the UK are allies.

They are coaching some Chinese kids to play football. It isn't a massive commercial exercise in itself. It isn't anything to do with the Chinese government.

The blokes authorising your signings authorise the killing of Yemeni children as well.

Players will always prefer a move to man utd. Newcastle are a good 5 seasons to even being able to compete with them.

Signing mercenaries won't make you a top 6 side. Just look at the problems man utd have now. That's man utd the second biggest club in the world not a North east club that's never won a trophie in 60 years

Nufc isn't doing anything to do with the Saudi government itself either. Nor did it have a choice that Ashley sold to them. Liverpool actively chose to invest in a country that commits genocide and makes sexually assaulted tennis players disappear. No outrage? Weird.

A huge wage bill wouldn't make them an attractive prospect as a business. Ashley struggled to sell them on a decent business model. Selling the club on the back of failure having been backed by PiF? Quite a challenge.
