Deeming a signing the worst of all time is subjective. You can't objectively measure it.

You can measure it imo. Some signings can be shown to be the point at which clubs overstretch to a point where they are relegated and go bust or are hit financially to effect the club for many years. See Leeds not getting into champions league, Rodwell with us was a bad one and really hindered us until recently. Stoke had a few which has them hovering above the relegation zone in championship.
Chelsea, Liverpool, City and United can handle a few bad signings but the rest of the prem are only a couple of transfer windows away from relegation imo

Huge money for Chelsea and I think league high for Torres fee. Performed just as badly. Looks like Jolinton is their worst ever buy but there are others which could be considdered worse. Look at Rodwell for us for example, argubally cripled us financially.
