it’s hardly wacky when keys is best mates with the PL chairman is it? Keys who works for beIN who were desperate to stop it happening.

It's f***ing mental mate, PL are very welcoming to big money coming their way. BeIN won't have wanted it to happen because of the illegal streaming, but they couldn't have stopped it if the Saudis met all the requirements of the fit and proper persons test. Didn't the PL offer to allow an independent arbiter to make the decision?

I honestly thought Masters and Hoffman worked in a massive hq surrounded by an army of accountants, lawyers and other support staff ensuring things ran smoothly.

I didn’t realise they ran the premier league out of Richard keys shed.
they'll be like morecambe and wise, both in bed together in their pj's smoking pipes.

Won't have any bearing on the takeover being approved. It has been rejected. This is about compensation for big Mike.

Luke knows nowt tbf. His credibility on NUFC matters was shot a while ago.
Or arbitration confirms ownership is valid, so then the case of piracy get looked into and the application is rejected again. Can’t see the Saudi’s looking forward to being publicly rejected twice.
The piracy issue is a big one, but then if some compo was to change hands along with an agreement that it is dealt with, then that would probably do the trick. An interesting angle is that there seems to be a requirement to draw a line between government involvement and the running of the club, in which case could the new buyers ask how could they affect government policy if they have no direct connection between themselves and their government, which is the PL stipulation - surely it can't work both ways.

All just my opinion of course, but I think now that it's properly out in the open and the PL make their objections known, then those objections then become easier to overcome.

Finally, the human rights matters are vile but I don't think come into the equation because our own Government happily conducts business with them so any moral argument is therefore lost.

I don't think you realise the hatred between KSA and Qatar. No compo would smooth it over. This needs to be put on ice until next year and KSA need to get a private company to bid for the rights then.

To be fair when their Mps are bringing it up inParliament as a "topic " worthy of discussion did make me think I never hear ours bemoaning Sunderlands demise and we are way way worse off than them ...also never hear out on Sky -yet when Donald took over he was on with his mate Jim White a few times
Going to contradict myself a bit as not sure I want Mps raising it as a point but the lack of interest ...is astounding from all concerned

One of the MPs was the MP for Washington  unreal.

Simon Jordan not holding back with his thoughts on Ryan Fraser now

He's right. Michael Owen got abuse for doing practically the same thing. Using Covid as a means of weaselling out of your responsibilities is nauseating.
