Good question.
At a push Berge is in the discussion from Sheff United. Gallagher the only one from West Brom.
Then it becomes a straight shoot between Fulham and the Mags. Anguissa is a lovely midfielder, Lemina has promise but no consistency. I like Tosin at the back. Areola is the most pedigreed keeper.
I'd say looking at that squad Bruce has, Saint-Maximin, Wilson, Almiron, Fraser, are all good Premier League players, and tbh I think Ciaran Clark has looked very good the last few weeks. A threat in the oppositon box, good reliable defender.
Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I'm a mag.
Oh come on. He had 10 games, look at Allardyce's first 10 games.
The instant results people talk about are incredibly difficult to engineer and usually less about what the team does and more about someone plummetting below them.
You're letting your hatred for Benitez cloud your evaluation of Bruce. This is why it's pointless comparing. Benitez is a genuine quality manager that's won the biggest prizes in the game. Bruce is not. We can talk about shit signings all day. You'll mention Muto, I'll mention Rose, or Lazaar or Jeff Hendrick.
Almiron, for example, isn't a bad player. And if you are adamant to compare them, I'll say this: Regardless of whether you think Benitez is a genius or overrated, the thing is he has a clear plan and you can see that. Go watch him on MNF talk about the strategy with a back three. You can see what he outlines happen on the field.
Bruce has never and can never do that because he said himself when he was here he didn't like tactics.
