Say's the fat mess watching NUFC on a Friday night![]()
A win that almost certainly guarantees staying in the Premier league..."I'm gonna go on the Mackems forum and wind them up" I'd say you were a sad bastard but you must be a bit simple and lonely so I won't. Bless you.
I've lumped on Oxford to beat your plodders at odds of 13/8 this afternoon.
Will celebrate with my winnings tonight and enjoy seeing you doomed to Division 3 for yet another season.
Enjoy !![]()

Brilliant isn't he?
Deffo read from a script like.
He'll be having digs at Sunderland next.
Aye, fantastic.Brilliant result.![]()
Yep but a fantastic 3 points. It was a bog standard 1-0 mid table bore.
Not a brilliant game. A brilliant result, as in 3 points. This is not just Newcastle by the way, football is really shit these days if that was a brilliant result.![]()
Aye, fantastic.
Yep but a fantastic 3 points.

Good ol bRadford Pete.
Brilliant isn't he?
Aye, it is a big game, as are all your remaining games until you hopefully get cemented into the play-offs and hopefully promoted.Big game today. Oxford Vs Sunderland. Two actual football clubs
He's on a roll. That's 2 in 4 monthsNice to see Chris Wood get a goal (or two). A lot of pressure for that pen.
They just love a Messiah - and they often get players in who are decent but don't perform..... You then wait and wait and they suddenly have a good match or two and the hysteria starts. "Geordie Pirlo for England", "Shelvey for England", their young keeper, Ben Arfa, Saint Max, Joe Linton (who was signed as a striker but turns out is dog shit as a striker but fairly effective at making a nuisance of himself) - it's just a never ending stream of players suddenly being world class on the back of a few decent games.OK so my take on yesterday. Watched it with a Wolves supporting mate of mine so probably doubly biased
1. Crap match. As much Wolves fault as Newcastles. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... the lower leagues provide much more entertainment for a neutral fan. The Northern League even more so.
So many times the attacking team are on the edge of the box and 20 seconds and 4 passes later its with their keeper. Both sides guilty
2. St Maximin is STILL a one trick pony as ive said for a very long time. Only now he's been found out. Yet every time he's got the ball the pundits get excited. Other than pace and the same fancy footwork he achieves nothing most of the time. If he doesn't get his way, he throws his arms around, talks to himself and gives up. Wouldn't last a season in a decent side
Under Ashley they'd cash in, make a fortune on him and you'd likely never hear from him again. These lot will keep him because he's popular. He's basically the Premier league equivalent of the lad who got in the school team purely because he was good at keepy-ups.
3. The media love Joelinton. He's a new star. I lost count of how many times they described him as "ball winning", "ball holding" or "rejuvenated under Eddie Howe". He was awful. He's now an average Premier league player. That's it.
4. If Cundle can be a premier league footballer... so can I. One great pass. That was it. Trincoa (or however its spelt) almost as bad.
5. VAR is ruining football. If they can be so arsey about offsides, then they need to be just as arsey about penalty claims. The Newcastle lad could have got out if the way and made no effort to. Its cheating. Either scrap VAR or apply it to every decision. End of.
6. Bruno whatshisname is going to be massively over hyped. He didn't stand out in a crap match. Yet the pundits say things like "Newcastle fans have exciting times ahead with him on the pitch". Really? Most of the Wolves defence had more impact on the game than he did. I'm not saying he's crap, but the love for his performance last night was bizarre.
Rant over.
Mags on here are right like. People shouldnt be watching the Mags games.. then discussing it. All part of sportswashing
Agreed, it wasn't very good.OK so my take on yesterday. Watched it with a Wolves supporting mate of mine so probably doubly biased
1. Crap match. As much Wolves fault as Newcastles.
It depends. Some are awful to watch but some are brilliant to watch. A different class of players and a different referee mindset on top of many other things.I've said it before and I'll say it again.... the lower leagues provide much more entertainment for a neutral fan.
The Northern League even more so.
Yep, not nice to watch at times. So many times the attacking team are on the edge of the box and 20 seconds and 4 passes later its with their keeper. Both sides guilty
He hasn't found himself out yet so I highly doubt premier players have found him out.2. St Maximin is STILL a one trick pony as ive said for a very long time. Only now he's been found out.
Because he's an exciting player regardless of him being frustrating at times.Yet every time he's got the ball the pundits get excited.
He achieves plenty but the problem with his skill and pace and whatnot is if he does a few bad things they stand out like a sore thumb and that tends to be looked upon with a frown while his good work fades into the distance.Other than pace and the same fancy footwork he achieves nothing most of the time.
I agree. It's a definite bad part about his game and I hope Howe levels it out a bit with him. The thing is he does get fouled a lot but it goes unpunished because of his actions. If he doesn't get his way, he throws his arms around, talks to himself and gives up.
He seems to be doing ok up to now.Wouldn't last a season in a decent side
Is that why he signed a new improved contract to stay at the club?Under Ashley they'd cash in, make a fortune on him and you'd likely never hear from him again.
Popular and a brilliant footballer. A crowd-pleaser with his own frustrations. I see plenty of them and it's about honing him. These lot will keep him because he's popular.
Far from it. He's in the team because he can do a lot of good stuff much more than making errors. He's basically the Premier league equivalent of the lad who got in the school team purely because he was good at keepy-ups.
Joelinton has come on massively under Howe and his new position. No wonder his praises are sung and deservedly so. He had his fair share of putdowns and he's come through it. I love the lad.3. The media love Joelinton. He's a new star.
I lost count of how many times they described him as "ball winning", "ball holding" or "rejuvenated under Eddie Howe".
Far from average. He's a top player and will get even better at this rate.He was awful. He's now an average Premier league player. That's it.
I can't comment on him because I didn't really take too much notice of him.4. If Cundle can be a premier league footballer... so can I. One great pass. That was it. Trincoa (or however its spelt) almost as bad.
VAR is the best thing football's had. It's not the VAR system it's the people overseeing it that's the issue.5. VAR is ruining football.
They are and do. It just depends on who's doing the overseeing. If they can be so arsey about offsides, then they need to be just as arsey about penalty claims.
Why should he?The Newcastle lad could have got out if the way and made no effort to.
It's far from cheating.Its cheating.
This comes down to the officials running it and we all know bias plays massive parts in games with this stuff.Either scrap VAR or apply it to every decision. End of.
As it stands it's easy to see why he's hyped up. He's quality and hasn;t played many games for us.6. Bruno whatshisname is going to be massively over hyped.
Did you watch it?He didn't stand out in a crap match.
Yet the pundits say things like "Newcastle fans have exciting times ahead with him on the pitch".
The Wolves defence was strong and stood out because they battled like hell to shut us out and did a fairly decent job of it until we deservedly won it.Really? Most of the Wolves defence had more impact on the game than he did.
His performance was brilliant that's why he's being talked about.I'm not saying he's crap, but the love for his performance last night was bizarre.
Rant over.
