If the ambition talk matches the physical reality then this might not be too far from reality. Only time will tell on that and I'd seriously be puzzled if Newcastle fans weren't absolutely buzzing at the prospect.

Of course. It's the nature of the beast to be like that.
Progress is expected and if it doesn't happen then there will be frustration among many fans and likely people would let it be known.
However, that's like anything.
When the expectation is created it carries everyone forward and if what is expected is not achieved then unrest kicks in with pockets of fans having a go.
It's the same with Sunderland (as an instance). A big club in the wrong league but in that league because fans' expectations were not matched. Simple expectations as well but expectations nonetheless.

The thing is if we end up crashing we'll be gutted and we will moan but we will also get on with being fans like you lot and other clubs do.

Take a look at Everton.
Take a look at their ground. It's far from empty and the atmosphere is still good, yet they've spent title-chasing money and ended up fighting relegation.
Are they moaning?
Of course, they are.
Will they feel like they've won the title if they stay up?
Of course, they will.

That's football for you.

It's just a case of being clever which I'm more than confident we will do.
Everything seems to be clicking into place and the summer is going to be exciting.

Distance from my old address in S. Shields to the shittip...7.6miles and to the SOL 4.8 miles as the cross flies. #musttryharder
