I suggested they might go down on Twitter ages ago before the blood money arrived, full time tonight and a total stranger who’s a mag messaged me giving it the big un, he must have waited months to do this, got to admire his lack of a life

You and a few others are guaranteed to be on this thread after every game, liking each others posts. You're another one for whom 2022 has been tough, what with everyone of our wins being lucky and all that. Must be sickening to watch 'Beheadie' turn a misfiring team into something half decent while spending a modest amount of money in the process. Six home wins in a row tonight. Marvellous.
Were you at the match?

Except that this thread is on a Sunderland fan page, we wouldn’t demean ourselves to post on your shower of shit Saudi apologist message boards. And yet here you are.

“Modest” 😂😂

What did he say?

Trying to find a link but basically after one of the last games of 2003-4 season he was caught criticising the fans on an off the record conversation with Oliver or Gibson and he had a mike on and it was inadvertently broadcast in the corporate areas.

Only a few thousand had stayed back for the traditional lap of honour (daft name) after Wolves games and it revolves around his disappointment at that.

Why did no one stick around?

Modest amount

Wanted to get to the bar. Seriously it sounds crazy now as we went in to get 4 points at st Mary’s and Anfield and finish 5th iirc and people thought the players had bottled it. We had a lot of dislikeable twats too Dyer, Bellamy who were against the manager. We only win twice away all season and finished on a terrible run of results prior to final 2 games that were post the final home game.

Bonesaw Bill having a kickabout on the pitch apparently (sportswashing of course). Would he get interviewed though? Absolutely not. Wonder why

How many stay back for your lap of honour(daft name) after every home game?
Since the takeover the atmosphere has improved immeasurably and even when we’re losing, it’s miles better than it used to be. For the last few years it’s been like a graveyard. Away fans were right when they sang “where’s your f***ing atmosphere”. For the last few months there have been loads of fans hanging around after the game to celebrate and that has gradually evolved into a mini lap of honour - more a lap of appreciation. It’s not right round the she of the ground - just on a slightly wider radius than the centre circle. It’s been great to be honest, and I know there’s no way you’ll appreciate this, but it just feels like for the first time in 14 years everyone is pulling in the same direction. Our atmosphere has been shite for years but is now way better.

Not surprising, you have some of the most sensitive fans around.
