You are so wrong.

If the roles were reversed it would be so different. The media and local MPs would have been hammering the Human Rights issues from day one as there would have been a regional shitting of pants that that Sunderland were moving ahead of Newcastle.

There would have been many Sunderland supporters objecting and demonstrating against Saudi ownership. The same journalists who have been sucking the Saudi Riyal will have been united in their condemnation of such people owning a football club, I mean they cut up one of their colleagues alive.

The same Labour MPs who preach about Human Rights and who selectively ignored their morals and beleifs when blood money was flashed towards the city of Newcastle will have also been united in their hatred of all things Saudi and Sunderland from day one.

To think it was a grubby Conservative government who greased this through as well.

As far we would be the same, no, we would have rejected this and wouldn't have been at parliament, pressuring anyone and everyone to get this through.

I'm 100% correct and you know it.

You have a point that the same press and MP’s who cheated this takeover may have held a different view if it was you.
Let’s say though, completely hypothetically, that if the Saudis bought you and there was negativity about it in the press, not a cat in hells chance you’d side with the press / MPs over your astronomically wealthy new owners.
The thought of you siding with the likes of Chi Onuwah or a George Caulkin over your own club is complete nonsense.

The difference is though wooden heed is that we are dealing with fact as far as you lot are concerned. Where as you are dealing with an unknown.

Being completely honest I think many of us would have been pretty let's see what happens as that's how we are.

We dont shout at shops, invade pitches when we lose, smack police horses, smash our own city up.

Remember when Paula Di Canio, a West Ham legend, was targeted by the press as a fascist, there were Sunderland supports cancelling season tickets, demanding refunds, the Durham Miners Association demanded their banner back etc.

Sky were broadcasting live from the Sunderland ticket office interviewing fans as they returned their season tickets.

We are chalk and cheese or water and oil, take your pick.
