30 points will be enough to stay up.
They will stay up, wishful thinking to think otherwise, and I'm saying this one completely seriously. Trippier, Wood, Burns are quality enough to stave off relegation this season.

They will be 15th to 16th max though. Next season, they'll spend another 150 million and break top 10.

Not sure they'll be able to do more, FFP will kick in at that point. They will then either be at the cusp of top 8, or fall away like Everton.

Besides that, they will not attract the top, top talent, and Saudis probably don't have a plan like the folks at City did. People underestimate City, they didn't get to where they are just by spending a lot. United spend a lot. Lot of talent in that hierarchy at City, don't think Saudi folks have the acumen to do the same.

Coutinho was quiet today. Think Gerrard will be a top manager like, if their goal was onside they were the more likely winners. Fine margins as ever.

Everytime you pop on here with your ISIS views - you will be one of the first to jump ship, that is if you were ever on our ship.

You have the mentality and immaturity of a teenager to think a Fund is going to invest in a 70k stadium at c500m.
You aren't even a Sunderland supporter man. Just anti mag - absolutely obsessed with them.

Gerrard is superb.

Lampard is overrated. Everton will be pulled in, this over attacking style won't work.

Agree re Gerrard, wish we had got him TBH. Lampard has alot to prove still, but pleased to see the two of them where they are, both legends.

You will take this as wrong as I support Sunderland but Howe is a very uninspiring appointment who will not do much more than keep you up. His Bournemouth team's best seasons were still between 40-43 points. Overhyped.

Still, he will keep you up, not difficult to be better than Bruce.

It is what it is. If he keeps us up a good appointment (same as signings really). We are alot better since he took over and the team spirit is much better. I think think he's a case of if we go down he stays in charge, if we stay up he earns even longer.

I doubt they’ll break into the top 10 with £150m. Eddie Howe is the manager, no matter what they spend, he’ll fuck it up.

Mate, I literally said in the same comment my posts are basically satiring idiot mags at times.
Ok . Let’s just say I’m using your posts to remind everyone of the purpose of this thread. It’s not strictly about whether the mags stay up or go down. It’s primarily about the source of their new found wealth and why that source bought them in the first place.

Chris Wood is in appalling form. I only watched the last 15 minutes but in that time he won one header. The ball was just bouncing off him.

No goals in 4 starts says everything. I've just looked at some independent match ratings and he was given a 5 v Everton and a 4 today.

He's a 25M cart horse 😂

Agreed, but he's being compared to what they had, so is an improvement.

They have improved enough to stay up.

The bottom of the Premier League is shocking quality this season, I would not be surprised to see at least two of the relegated teams not get promoted next year.

A centre half playing upfront wouldn't be any worse than Wood. He literally couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Dwight Gayle is certainly better but won't get a start because Beheadie didn't spunk £25M on him.

Gayle is garbage. Tbf, the Mag squad is mostly garbage.

I liked Wood at Burnley, so I assume he'll do better than Gayle. I would rather have Connor Wickham than Gayle or Wood though, so there's that.

Miss Conor <3
