Theres a difference though. Coming on and having sensible conversation about football is fine. Coming on and saying "Leeeg One" etc just to get bites is proper obsession.

I get that totally but we get grief because of our owners and the sportswashing issue. But we did not choose them they chose us, and every other club in Europe would have taken their investment.
I will add that some of our lot dressing up as Arabs etc is embarrassing…

There is one current mag related thread on this forum. This one. It’s purpose is an attempt to raise awareness of the real purpose of the Saudi Arabian states purchase of NUFC. Go back through it, read the posts from mags and then come back and tell us we are obsessed.

I just replied below to that , but I will add it’s not just footie, it’s F1, it’s golf and of course Boxing…
I have read some posts and they are just a bit embarrassing in an almost boastful sort of way…. But like the NUFC fans who come to the SOL to support the away team - embarrassing!
Only time I will go to SOL is if grandson makes it, NUFC play there or take the missus to see Elton John!
Likewise SJP for you should be Derby day only.

Hypothetically what If KSA was truly trying to improve its image, and sport was part of that. It has to start somewhere!
I am part Jewish but I don’t hate every German on the planet, despite what they did to my grandad!
And whether you like it or not ‘most’ fans of all clubs would accept this investment.

Yeah. I watched NUFC for 52 years and won nothing, before I start pushing up daisies I want to see us win a major trophy!

That’s a myth, he saw an opportunity to make what he thought was easy money…. But was trumped by other clubs and foreign investment…. And then we stood still for 15 years, both promotions were lucky as again minimum investment.

They aren’t. They can improve their image by not doing all the things I’ve just made you aware of and it would be much cheaper. But they won’t. Meantime they corrupt sport in an attempt to sanitise what they do. On the other hand if they weren’t butchering savages you would be the richest club in the world. Enjoy it while it lasts. It is trying to improve it's image. It's not improving its behaviour, though, and that's the key distinction. A week of Trippier's wages would feed a hell of a lot of Yemeni kids, but they're not actually interested in being decent human beings, only in trying to distract people from what bastards they are. So they'll continue to bomb the kids into famine, but spend millions on mercenary footballers so the West will continue to turn a blind eye to it.
