Northern trains

Traveled up on GC today and got the 9pm (delayed due to overcrowding) northern back and I didn’t pay.

Like Hank says, the train companies must be losing a fortune due to over crowded trains.

I didn’t pay a fare today
Northern trains is a nationalised rail operator so we’re all losing out 😞

Aye 1143 showing on time at present, ill be on with me red stripe as usual!
Presume that was the 1201 from hartlepool?

We got on the last carriage and some vagrant was walking on with an old grey dog.

As he boarded the dog jumped under the train, he just stood there giggling as the boor bastard dangled under the train. The conductor had to get on his knees, lift it out n hoy it on the train. He looked at me n we both shouted “f***ing hell!” 😂.

Honestly the shit they must have to put up with!

40 year old trains and aging infrastructure doesn’t mix very well with freezing temperatures. Funny how London and the south don’t have as many issues, maybe they get a bit more money than us second class citizens up here 🤬
There was a new reports during the week about (I think) the Elizabeth line hitting 500 million passengers, they had somebody on saying due to the numbers getting funding for any future projects would be easier. I know London will get more funding as more people live there but it just seems a bit of a joke how they can use a line that cost £19b as an example for more funding as the North East uses 40 year old trains and infrastructure whilst getting crumbs.

If the service offered up here was more reliable and up to date, passengers would use it.

People can’t be blamed for opting to drive when the service offered is a disgrace

I’m dreading the 14.11 from horden watch the fucker be two carriages and rammed. I’ll be fucked if I can’t get on because they cancelled the previous one. Absolute joke this service.
