Northern trains

I’ve got an open return from thornaby tomorrow should I be concerned about getting back ?
I’ve messaged them on Twitter and got this response

****‘Hi there, services on this line are scheduled to operate tomorrow. I would however advise checking regularly before you travel due to short notice cancellations.
If multiple cancellations are made then alternatives such as rail replacement buses or ticket acceptance will be put in place’ ****

I’d aim to get one of the ‘bullet' services frok Thornaby if I was you and then you can always get the next regular service if required. Chances are both won’t be cancelled.

Could be a nightmare getting back if they start to cancel trains as they’ll be packed by the time they reach Sunderland from Newcastle

Cheers mate
I’ve already booked on the 10:37 will have to see in morning

There's a direct one back to newcastle (doesn't stop at Heworth) at 17:07. I've managed to catch it before though cutting it bit fine if there's lot of injury time in match. Probably better option than the 17:30 one as that will be heaving and you might do well to even get on.

£8 on the 18:10 or 23:55 National Express from Park Lane to Middlesbrough. £5.49 on the 23:55 Flixbus for the same journey. Guaranteed a seat anarl.

The 9:37 is now running again.

Shambles of a service!

The 10.40 Hartlepool to Sunderland and beyond cancelled... but Northern Rail website at the minute still showing 17. 03 and 17,49 are live trains

You lot need to try get a regular bus up and running seems to be enough of yas would be much better in the long run too. Trains seem to always shaft you lot
