Northern trains

Absolutely shocking. I think 1 train ran on time yesterday by the looks of things.

Disgraceful service

Get the complaints in lads. You should get some vouchers out of it

I’m not surprised they are late, it takes quite a while to herd the cattle on to the cattle truck. It must have sat on Hartlepool station for ten minutes while people were literally pushed on to the train.

Usually 4 carriages on a Sunday, get yourselves down to the East Durham coast if you want to witness this fantastic spectacle, usually empty as well with no more than 20 passengers onboard.

Noticed a few "Low Rail Adhesion" warnings on the station monitors yesterday..the 17;30 service back to Central was delayed and mobbed...as per usual...

Noticed the metro was affected by this last Friday. Is this a euphemism for rain.

am sorry for the inconvenience caused by our train being overcrowded.

We are currently operating an amended timetable that reflects a phased recovery from the impact of coronavirus on the industry – an impact that will be felt for some considerable time.

In light of these factors we are operating as many services as we can and, where possible, are seeking to use additional carriages on routes where demand is predicted to be highest. We do, however, have a finite number of carriages available to us and all that can be used are always out on the network.

We continue to do all we can to make our stations and trains as safe as possible for our customers and staff.
We have an enhanced cleaning plan in place, with more than 600 dedicated staff, focusing on touch points, toilets and removal of litter.
We’re also reminding all our customers that, unless they have specific exemptions, they should wear a face covering on our trains and at our stations.

Our staff do not have the authority to enforce social distancing, or the use of face coverings, but colleagues from British Transport Police continue to support our staff in helping encourage customers to behave appropriately.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused and if there is anything else, please dont hesitate to contact us.

They're a joke of an organisation. Shame it's the quickest way(even with delays) of getting from teesside to Sunderland.

Bullshit. If they were truly concerned about Covid dangers they would put more carriages on. Fact is we are not considered a priority by them and haven’t been for as long as a I can remember.
I contacted them the last time we played Leicester in the Premier, got on at Sunderland after the game, it was so packed people were filming it, we told the guard enough was enough but they insisted on cramming more on.
Elderly man next to me passed out. We got him back but what a shock.
E mailed them and got the corporate bullshit. Told them felt they would not do anything until there was a fatality. They didn’t reply.
That was a few years ago.
Its a Feckin disgrace, the posts in this thread alone should shame them into doing something. They know Xmas is coming and will do feck all about it. Yet again.

Cut copy and paste that...

What’s enhanced cleaning got to do with anything.

I got, word for word, the same response last night.
