Northern trains

Blows my mind how bad trains are in the north east. I live West Midlands and the trains once you get past Manchester are absolutely fine. Back home I don’t see the trains as a legitimate form of transport at all.

Yep gotta be seen in person how shite, cramped, unreliable they are to be believed!

16:37 from thornaby was spot on and made the last train back after a brisk walk and a pit stop in AKF for 2 pints of Guinness and 8 bottles of red stripe

My flix bus back down the road was delayed till 01-30 Wednesday morning so called in the Spot On snooker club after spoons had closed to kill an hr. Opens till 06-00

I got the national express back down to Teesside the day after sheff wed in the play offs and it was decent to be fair!

Beecham's closure of many of our railway lines was a disgrace. We (almost) have a third world public transport infrastructure in parts of the UK.
Not to mention the ridiclous cost of train tickets. It's much cheaper to drive long distances in many cases. That includes the cost of keeping the car on the road.

Trains are by far the most pleaant way to travel, IMO. What a shame we do it so badly.
