Marske have always been a bit of a bogey team for shields, they have filled one coach already
Hopefully another 1000+ crowd

Could be a very difficult game this. I remember the last time Shields played Marske, was a fa cup preliminary and Shields were blown away. From memory Lee Scroggins put Shields ahead early doors with a cracking half volley but then after that it was one way traffic. Andy Ramsbottom ran Shields ragged, scoring one and being brought down for the free kick that saw Glen Butterworth (he just shaded my man of the match) make it 3-1. More recently Marske got beat 2-1 off North Shields, despite going one up. Now considering how easily North swatted South away at the weekend we can safely say Marske are clear favourites. To have any hope Shields will have to keep "Butters" quiet and avoid giving away free kicks, as his delivery is absolutely deadly.

Next time you have a look for a match report go a bit further down as we played them in the league after the cup game , good effort all the same though;)

Cheers mate, I haven't been able to get to that many games, been on holiday and stuff and have premier League season tkt. And in fairness it was all just from memory. How do you look for match reports? Id like to read about how that game went.

Thanks for that mate. Very insightful to those that aren't up to scratch on the Northern League.

It looks as though the claret and blue skunks are in for a tough time.

Hope the weather is kinder to you this time. Wouldnt like to see you have to walk through most of the Shields estates again in the rain

Cheers marra. Doesnt bother me really, its not exactly far for someone like me who goes running all the time mind. Plus I walked at a decent pace as most of the places along the walk are rough as fuck.

Copy and paste your ticket? Wont that get sussed? Think I will just stick to paying marra. Its not that often I go anyway so not worth the risk. Cheers though.
