Nissan

When the first Juke was shown to us it had suicide doors and headlights that were not visible as they were painted in the body colour.
Hopefully it’s like that design above, very much like the Toyota to be honest, curved lines seem to be on the way out with straight likes and boxy shapes back in.
Could not believe Toyota got away with copying the last Juke almost exactly just a bit bigger with their CHR... 🤔
Then again loads copied the Qashqai, Mazda almost exactly with their CX5 and JLR with their Evoque / range rooney which like the CHR looked almost the same just a bigger version...
They had talks with Honda, look what happened there.
Pretty sure they tried to link up with Tesla too a few years ago.
Not to mention the Daimler debacle with the Infiniti we built for a few years...
They were actually good cars and far better looking than the A class they were based on but no one in Europe wanted one and when China and the USA, the only 2 places buying them didn't want them either that was it - they must have lost a few million there...🤔
At least the Line 2 GD1A extension for it came in useful eventually...🤣

Start of production for electric Juke starts Jan 27, not the Chinese vehicles that will be going down line 1.

Brief is cryptic at best.

Roumors cherry to rent line 1 for ten years
A mate has just bought one of those a Jaecoo Chery. Or a Chery Jaecoo whatever it's called. It's a big looking car and very nice inside. Their previous car was a 2021 Qashqai and he reckons this is far better.

Apart from the fact it looks like utter dogsh*** and you need to wear dark glasses like Ray Charles while driving it in case anyone recognises you but yeah other than that its far better... 🤣

Until they set on fire like byd does 😂
There’s some interesting stuff online about BYD and the wider electric car market in China.

Where the bulk of its funding being Chinese government investment, so they can undercut European built cars substantially.
Part of the Chinese master economic plan.

The unsustainable infrastructure of it, the shady practice of selling cars to shell corporations at the end of the month to hit sales targets.

The company itself looks profitable but a lot of analysts are saying it’s basically the next Evergrande when things inevitably go pop.
