If the Chinese are moving into line 1 surely that would take a good year or more to get up and running.
Also NMUK are hiring manufacturing staff again starting on peanuts compared to the a long server salary so wouldn’t surprise me if they are trying to get a few oldies out the door.
 
I've heard recaps with an invite back on the lower contract... meaning they'd be on merit 2 aswel so smaller pay rises

It makes sense for chery just to keep the line 1 staff it's a ready made team, line 2 has already had to take a lot of riff raff from over there we don't want anymore of them 😂 different standards and it shows 😜

Do ya think Chery will end up taking the full plant over ?
Seems odd that Nissan would rent a line to a competitor who sells a similar vehicle about £10k cheaper.
Obviously I don’t understand the full politics of the deal but imo seems odd.

Another rumour today was that someone was turned away from the going to the gym on Saturday because they were setting up for Chery on Sunday
