Nissan

As an outside looking in what do Nissan cars offer? Expensive dusters with no character or appeal to any sector of the market.
Popular in the northeast but beyond thet I’ve never noticed the volumes we see knocking round sunderland .

The brand is shit, it needs to change or we are delaying the inevitable. It feels like the latter days of Rover Metro. Cheap outdated tech at a high price that no one wants.!it can’t go on.

They've sold nearly 4 million Qashqais since it was launched, but other than that, a Rover Metro.
Telling you Che

Scrambling about for funding to build cars that are kind numbly cack just to keep people in jobs whist losing a fortune.
We’ve seen this old card play out before .

Hopefully I’m wrong as I don’t want to see it shut

Might be true that they've ran out of steam a bit. I think new cars are in the pipeline, so that might save 'em.

The same shite tech is in Range Rovers but it costs twice as much.

They have got lazy the models are dated, brands like mg and cupra have far more modern designs they need to come up with a new model like they did when they introduced the quashqai they think changing the alloys and putting colour coded bumper on and calling it a new model is enough it’s lazy
Electric Nissan micra affordable would be the saviour imo

Like i said mate it reminds me of the latter days of rover. Hopefully they pull themselves out of the hole they are in as it would be devastating for the region

The new Renault 5 come out this week and Peugeot 208 both electric we are been left behind again still trying to knock out 40 grand past their sell by date qashaqais they need to make a small electric micra imo that’s affordable they all have far to many gimmicks and bells and whistles that pushes the price up everyone gets on and turns them all straight off

Can’t see what’s funny or even remotely funny to make cocky remark about people potentially loosing their livelihood
The comment was genuine not meant to be funny or cocky in the slightest not sure how you read it..??

I may have left but have a lot of good younger friends still in there I would like to see them continue to earn a decent living off Nissan as I did...

Hopefully its totally wrong and like the last 40 years NMUK continues to operate as normal, my bet is it will as its always been one of the top plants in the world,

Even if the management always play it down at pay talks time with the often used closure threats...

Lets see anyway 2 months to find out... 👍

The car buying public in the UK don't quite seem to agree with this view though, Qashqai 3rd best seller and Juke 4th best seller in 2024, not bad going for a Rover Metro... 🤔

Aye the main problem for NMUK is that the leaf wasn't a high volume third model and they have been too slow to add another third model. They should already have full electric options for both the QQ and Juke as well.

Takeaway the lease deals on the employee family and friends package I don’t think you’d see many knocking about here .

I’ve never been in a Nissan dealership to even have a look at one never mind consider buying.

Previous motor was a 2019 X-trail that I got new and was a brilliant car. 4x4, all the toys, and super reliable and sold it on last year. It was that good, I'd held off waiting for the new X-trail coming out - but they priced it silly and put that stupid half-petrol/half-electric motor in it. Not for me, and talking to the dealer when I got the car serviced before selling, not for many others either - sales plummeted and they were struggling to sell anything apart from commercials and the Qashqai which was still a good seller for them. Not surprised in the slightest that they've struggled this last couple of years, properly mis-judged the markets and opportunity to get decent EV and new design options out.

As mentioned previously they have become lazy
