It's probably the safest bet they make. If you win, they win. If you lose, they win again.

Who can say their job will be safe for five years, never mind 25? Just wondered what with Nissan being so keen to constantly make out they're going bust, for little brinksmanship games with the government.

At the metro centre now was a row of about 20 chargers only 1 getting used you don’t need to charge it every single time you go somewhere that’s what people need to get their heads around . Charge anxiety is actually a real condition they are trying to get people over

The Tesla Superfast chargers that get them to 90% in 15 minutes are fine. I’d happily go and park up in a petrol station and do that if it gave me 300 miles and I only needed to do it every 2 weeks.

But aside from Tesla the Superfast chargers don’t exist and most cars can’t do 300 miles on a charge so then you are more into an hour every week if you can’t charge at home which is a lot less appealing.

BMW did recently bring in wireless charging plates that you just pushed under the front of the car but think that’s early tech (And not sure how you would stop someone nicking them)

it wouldn't be automatic, it would require the advisor to pick up on it and send to an underwriter.

Personal experience has been brother in law had a Tesla and it worked great for him. Sister in law had a 3008 fully electric and had Nothing but problems with public charging. The car was shit as well but that’s by the by.

The main problem though is the massive disparity in cost. Overnight charging with the big providers is at about 7 pence per kwh. Shell ultra fast is 0.69 to 0.94 pence per kWh.

The cost difference is obscene.

I barely ever queue at a filling station, certainly less than one time out of 10. Unless there's some kind of panic, less than once a year there's never long queues.

I fill up at Sainsbury's, always use pay at the pump (loads of people don't?) and it takes 2 minutes. It's far more convenient than charging an EV in public.

The government need to bail out EV's because people like me just don't want to drive one. If they set unrealistic targets they need to basically bribe the public to buy them.

Zero lies. Real word experience from ICE and EV ownership.
 
They trying to change terms n conditions for paying hours back no end date on them build up hours so will not have to pay any overtime
