Your not wrong thereTeam Leaders are the hardest working at NMUK
Don't work as hard as the Somalian Binmen . Especially the one that has one arm . Salt of the earth the Somalians ..Team Leaders are the hardest working at NMUK
Just team leaders i know are always busy and working hardAre u a team leader ? Or is this a windup ? Got to be surely ..
I knew some good T/L's over the years who were proper grafters and set the pace for others to try and follow and a few absolute slackers too, who just sat in the rest area, more grafters than non but a few of both...Just team leaders i know are always busy and working hard
No lies . One lad told me . In the early years of plant . Where he worked. If lads had differences / major argumentI knew some good T/L's over the years who were proper grafters and set the pace for others to try and follow and a few absolute slackers too, who just sat in the rest area, more grafters than non but a few of both...
Most of the line T/L's tended to be good grafters I found as I travelled around the plant...
Was one myself eventually and I liked to get out there and help the lads and lasses knowing how it could be busy at times, though the odd few did take a lend sometimes..
Then again some of the Man Staff slackers I was in charge of on L2 at one point meant I was delivering more parts than them some days as they literally did not care...
They used to sit on their phones talking while I hared all over with linestop shortages, and the gaffer was unable to do too much,
Because if you looked at someone the wrong way they went on the sick or tried to put a claim in...
In the old days you got a bollocking or sometimes even a punch if you didn't pull your weight and told to shape up or you were out...
I have both given and received bollockings and punches, at least in the early years of the 80's and 90's when you still could...
Happy days..!!!![]()
@Ben1971 ???No lies . One lad told me . In the early years of plant . Where he worked. If lads had differences / major argument
They go in a Skip . To fight it out system. Hahaha Hahaha
I have no reason to disbelieve him like . As not a Walter mitty type lad .
Wouldn’t take much.Nissan select website is getting an upgrade apparently
The team leaders of today work even harder than in your day. They are non stopI knew some good T/L's over the years who were proper grafters and set the pace for others to try and follow and a few absolute slackers too, who just sat in the rest area, more grafters than non but a few of both...

Not taken any prisoners at that level. They’ve just announced today all the leadership role changes. There are loads of them changing jobs/job titles. It seems like they are trying everything they can to streamline everything in the company at the minute.
Hopefully they are going to UPGRADE the discounts back to 24% again as you can get a car cheaper in the open market now than actually working at the Factory !!!Nissan select website is getting an upgrade apparently
I can well believe it Mr B as the calibre of a lot of new starters over the past 10 years is one of they are more interested in their phones and social media than actually doing some work, and the T/L phone gets red hot..The team leaders of today work even harder than in your day. They are non stop
There were often fights in the old days and most got sorted out pretty sensibly afterwards, even by the seniors without the need to ruin peoples lives by sacking them...No lies . One lad told me . In the early years of plant . Where he worked. If lads had differences / major argument

Talk some bollocks you fellaHopefully they are going to UPGRADE the discounts back to 24% again as you can get a car cheaper in the open market now than actually working at the Factory !!!
I remember one time for about 5 years I used all my F+F discounts and loads of friends at works too as so many people wanted new cars when you got £4k to £5k off...
Then they slashed the discount from 24% to 10% - 15% and no one was interested as BSM had cheaper ones in the showroom on offer there...

Some days in Trim my phone literally never stopped all day and breaks and dinners were a luxury sometimes, if people had just done their job right first time every time like I tried to do it would have been so different...
And on a side note I have worked with you and alongside you over the years, so can unbiasedly confirm you were / are one of the better ones to all who think you are just posting a load of bull....
There were often fights in the old days and most got sorted out pretty sensibly afterwards, even by the seniors without the need to ruin peoples lives by sacking them...
The odd ones sadly did end up in a few people getting the push, but usually they were swept under the carpet after being thrashed out.. Didn't help that half the factory were Mackem's and half Mag's either...
I remember one day I had just started a shift and the supervisor who was not the brightest accused me of bringing the wrong parts to line..
After a slanging match telling him I have not delivered anything yet, next thing I had my hands round his neck threatening to break it...
All the lads on the line were looking round, a few shouting go on deck the t***...
Anyway it broke up and the senior came over and said what happened there...
I told him and he said right well I will have a word with him, but we can't be doing that so just calm it down please and it was all back to normal...
All sorted and though he was still th*** as f*** life went on...![]()
Been there done it got the tee shirts (and the bottles of wine) , Bluebird into Europe 88, Primera Launch 90, Micra Launch 92 and all the rest...Talk some bollocks you fella
Working on line today is way harder. Way more technology in the cars these days equals more components in turn more graft. Was basically none when it started so don’t give me all that hard graft stuff. Not to mention the rules and regulations these days, my superiors tell me lads used to be lying in cars smoking tabs while working back then.Been there done it got the tee shirts (and the bottles of wine) , Bluebird into Europe 88, Primera Launch 90, Micra Launch 92 and all the rest...
Which bit do you think is bollocks like because there are still plenty there who witnessed it all first hand and will confirm its not just delusions from an old keyboard warrior, many of them now supervisors and seniors...
No need for any bollocks the truth was extraordinary enough compared to most of todays tame goings on - real graft for real men and women to do back then, not todays PC sh**e.....
Anyway still hope for the plant yet, even though many have it down as closing already.,..
