It was the same with Burn in the League Cup final as I think they had Mac Allister marking him. I'd also have the big fellas on him and Burn when we play them as you can't be letting them having free headers when up against smaller players.

I know, I’m not criticising big Dan, I’m merely saying if you’re a striker and you play “poorly” but score the decisive goal, that’s not a bad game at all. We had loads on here that used to whinge at Defoe when he kept doing this for us. Goals are precious.

Haven’t been impressed with the limited time I’ve seen him. He’s a poor man’s Crouch ;)

He is scoring mind, not a bad skill to have. Yesterday’s was very opportunistic. Will likely do well for them :evil:

Pace and physicality are the reasons why they signed Wissa. Had he been fit, he’d have had a lot of Woltemade’s game time.

I also think their wingers aren’t in the form they were in the second half of last season. That’s collectively, although Elanga’s lack of contribution so far is the biggest reason.

Have to give credit where it’s due he’s started very well. I thought he’d be flop of the season and hope this is just a temporary hot streak of form

Before seeing it I thought it was going to be some long range piledriver, the way it was talked about. It was still a great goal, though

Doesn’t seem to be doing them much good though, their midfield seems quite porous this year and that means it’s easier to get at their slow defence. If we played them tomorrow, I’d be quite confident that our midfield would outwork them and Isidor would match up well against them.

Keeping Woltemade quiet will be the biggest challenge of the derbies though. Sorry, lad does look good.

At the derby Ballard needs to play and be the one marking him.
 
He seems ok like, he’s the best of the bunch of the mad transfer this summer. But £70m is an insane amount for the lad. He’s weird like, reminds me of a bit more mobile flo same sort of style of play for a big lad but he’s faster than flo was. He’s carrying their goal threat atm though which maybe a lot to ask for a young lad seeing that wissa seems to be out for a while.
