It was the same with Burn in the League Cup final as I think they had Mac Allister marking him. I'd also have the big fellas on him and Burn when we play them as you can't be letting them having free headers when up against smaller players.I can kind of understand it if they mostly go zonal and then just mark him as a back up. Personally I would put my best defenders on the likes of him and Burn as they are both a real threat for Wimbletoon.
Yes but Ballard wasn’t marking him. The other CH was out jumped and it went in off the back of his shoulder
Haven’t been impressed with the limited time I’ve seen him. He’s a poor man’s CrouchHes a strange one. No pace, strength, physicality. I don't think centre backs will have nightmares about facing him but he's got a great touch and despite not being strong in the air his height makes him awkward and certainly at the moment knows where the back of the net is.
Pace and physicality are the reasons why they signed Wissa. Had he been fit, he’d have had a lot of Woltemade’s game time. He's scoring goals, but his lack of pace is hurting them. They can't press as well as they did with isak up there, so although he's scoring, the whole team is suffering.
End of the day they look worse than they did last season, so i would still argue they're missing isak.
Why didn't Dan get on him then, is the question! He scored the winner in off the top of his arm when little Galbraith was marking him at a corner. If Ballard had been marking him he wouldn't have scored as Ballard bullied him and outclassed him for the rest of the match.
That said, credit where credit is due - I think Woltermade will be top scorer in the Championship next season.
Scored a lovely goal yesterday
Before seeing it I thought it was going to be some long range piledriver, the way it was talked about. It was still a great goal, thoughHeard them raving about it on Sky and thought itd be one of the great goals in the last few years. Wasnt all that great, had acres of space to do it.
At the derby Ballard needs to play and be the one marking him.We want him to be shit, but let’s be honest: he’s not.
He looks a totally unique player. He is going to be a success, his touch is excellent, he uses his physique well and he is a good finisher. Afraid that’s quite the package.
Doesn’t seem to be doing them much good though, their midfield seems quite porous this year and that means it’s easier to get at their slow defence. If we played them tomorrow, I’d be quite confident that our midfield would outwork them and Isidor would match up well against them.
Keeping Woltemade quiet will be the biggest challenge of the derbies though. Sorry, lad does look good.
Good planHes going in my fpl team so hes scored his last goal this season.
