Nick Woltemade

He's scoring goals, but his lack of pace is hurting them. They can't press as well as they did with isak up there, so although he's scoring, the whole team is suffering.

End of the day they look worse than they did last season, so i would still argue they're missing isak.
I’ve thought he’s looked canny mobile for a lad his size, seems to make decent runs as well. They over paid massively though. Didn’t Bayern rate him around the £35m mark.

He's had an excellent start, better than I thought he was going to manage if I'm honest, but he's the new kid in town, has benefitted from some decisions going his way (the shove for his goal against Arsenal could easily have been given as a foul if the Arsenal player hadn't folded like a napkin) and a couple of goals have been from set pieces/headers where his height is going to be a massive advantage.

That said his goal yesterday was class.

But I think that once opposition players/managers get wise to him he'll fall away somewhat. He was great for Germany in the U-21's all the way up until facing England who simply marked him out of the game. And against Nord Iron, Dan Ballard had him in his pocket for most of the game. When Ballard wasn't marking him for the corner was when he scored.

He's had a good start but hopefully by December the feel good factor will have slowed, or even been stopped, by his goals drying up somewhat and him being sussed out. You'll never convince me that they haven't paid well over the odds for him either.
Hes a strange one. No pace, strength, physicality. I don't think centre backs will have nightmares about facing him but he's got a great touch and despite not being strong in the air his height makes him awkward and certainly at the moment knows where the back of the net is.

He's not, and never has, been particularly good in the air. He just sort of launches himself. Bizarrely he's better dribbling with his lanky pins, although he looks slow and languid.

We want him to be shit, but let’s be honest: he’s not.

He looks a totally unique player. He is going to be a success, his touch is excellent, he uses his physique well and he is a good finisher. Afraid that’s quite the package.

Doesn’t seem to be doing them much good though, their midfield seems quite porous this year and that means it’s easier to get at their slow defence. If we played them tomorrow, I’d be quite confident that our midfield would outwork them and Isidor would match up well against them.

Keeping Woltemade quiet will be the biggest challenge of the derbies though. Sorry, lad does look good.

Very early doors though mind. He's not doing as much of the #10 stuff that he was at Stuttgart and is a big part of his game. He's enjoying something of a golden honeymoon just now and my hope is once he's getting man marked more the opportunities he's converted thus far will be missed/reduced.

As I posted up earlier Ballard absolutely bested him in the Nord Iron game. We'll need to do the same in the league
Looks like henning wehn in a dolly parton wig

Spluttered tea all ower the sitting room rug at that one. 👏🏻🤣🤣🤣

His goal yesterday was qualify tbf. He’s their only signing who looks high quality tho. Thiaw looks half decent as well. Mags were slagging off Elaga loads yesterday. Always thought he was a strange signing. You get much bigger value in Europe these days for the price they paid for him.

Saw him in the U21's and thought he looked good - was gutted when they bought him.

But I remember feeling the same when they bought Michael Owen and look how that turned out.

He's looking good right now but he needs a much better team around him to reach his potential. I mean, Jacob Murphy FFS.

Worth is relative though. He's done better than the other big money striker signings this season of Sesko, Ekitike, Isak and Joao Pedro.

He seems ok like, he’s the best of the bunch of the mad transfer this summer. But £70m is an insane amount for the lad. He’s weird like, reminds me of a bit more mobile flo same sort of style of play for a big lad but he’s faster than flo was. He’s carrying their goal threat atm though which maybe a lot to ask for a young lad seeing that wissa seems to be out for a while.
How long's he out for? Bet he's back for our game. They'll all be fit for that.

He's looked canny shite in his all round play when I've watched him which isn't all that much. Could be a big reason they're struggling so much this season. Still a good example of the age old goalscorer Vs all round contributions debate.

Having said that he should be good considering he cost £120m.

It'll have been a dodgy deal with Forest as per usual between those clubs.
