Huggins has no future here. He's nearly 25 and hasn't even played 30 first team games. He's not this up and coming youngster, and due to his injuries has missed out on a crucial period of his career where he should have been picking up crucial experience and learning about the game. These lads all need to concentrate on their recoveries. The club has moved on without them but when they're ready to train again it'll be immediately obvious to all whether they have a future here.
hopefully can sell him in January and free up some wages.
No room for sentiment if we want to progress.
Hurt himself picking up his wages slip.
I disagree. He was one of our better full backs when fit, probably most effective from the right hand side but you could always rely on him to do a good job.Was never, ever as good as people made him out to be.
Shame for him how his career has panned out though, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
My issue is he's played less than 30 games in his entire career, including appearances for Leeds and Wycombe. He turns 25 in December.I disagree. He was one of our better full backs when fit, probably most effective from the right hand side but you could always rely on him to do a good job.
He was showing plenty of promise before all of this started.
If that's the case then we just have to get him healthy and send him on his way.Huggins has no future here. He's nearly 25 and hasn't even played 30 first team games. He's not this up and coming youngster, and due to his injuries has missed out on a crucial period of his career where he should have been picking up crucial experience and learning about the game.
For reference Neil Ballard and cirkin all passed 100 games years before that age.
Yep.. some people just can’t help themselves.. terminally f***ing miserableit’s easy to be a **** about him after the fact. He came back from one very serious injury, had a run of games and proved to be one of our best fullbacks, before getting another very serious injury. He was absolutely talented enough to make it in the prem before the injury, and you couldn’t possibly have known he was ruined now by the latest injury.
It’s a real shame for the lad and I’ll never understand why some of our fans need to write players off so early just that they can get an ‘I told you so’ in if they’re right. How about supporting them instead maybe?
I think the fitness levels of players is too high these days for that to be an option in my humble opinion. Was it ledley king who never used to train and just played on a Saturday. I feel like that might be the only way Huggins manages to have some sort of career.
His body clearly can’t handle the demands of what a professional footballer has to go through.
Shame as he was very good when he got up to speed and would easily be good enough to have a solid championship career imo
be similar to Alese ( sadly )At this point all the lad can hope for is that he actually manages to get a career at any level. Becoming dangerously close to retiring early if he picks up anymore.
He’s a good player. Easily championship level full back if he stays fit.scored for Wycombe yesterday ( his first goal for them ) nicely taken.
video set to start at the goal. A trademark run in off the flank from himscored for Wycombe yesterday ( his first goal for them ) nicely taken.
Give somebody a ring at Southampton. They fell for it once ,so.................He's worthless imo.
Only someone absolutely mad would pay for him when he's out of contract in the Summer and has spent the past few years injured.
Really hope he can have a run injury free, he could be a really good player.
He did look good in the few games he played. That goal c Watford was as outstanding.was canny mad when people just used to spout, he is the best fullback at the club by far, without absolutely any evidence
I liked Huggins, but perfect example of being a better player when you are out of the team
Same, got some great attributes, needs to find the right club for a year, get some games n take it from there
still really young and people come back from much worse injuries
