Newcastle Won't Survive.

Right, so saying "As it stands" is a bit daft.

Based on your business thus far I'd say Sunderland are in trouble and could finish bottom half. But I have no doubt Grayson isn't going to stop transfer dealings now, so I fully expect you to sign some more players and finish at least 5th-11th.

I also fully expect Benitez to continue to strengthen our squad and get rid of deadwood and us to finish 13th-17th.
It isn't, it just means that you have to improve - significantly.

As it stands, Newcastle are joint top. Only the alphabet is stopping them claiming top spot statistically. Or joint bottom. Something you can also say about Sunderland in the Championship too.

Half a dozen games in, when matches start going to form and the league table starts to establish where teams will roughly be for the season, is the time to really evaluate as they stand.

Haha christ get ready for school youngun yal get rang off the teacher.
School banter. Into that stuff, you sick fuck?

'Fluked it'
  • Most wins
  • Joint most goals scored
  • Joint least goals conceded
  • Most days spent on top of the table.
Okay then, just split it down to promotion then, the consensus of that is the same in so much as it will be a very good achievement if you achieve promotion from your current position.
An 89th minute 10 man villa goal on the last game of the season. That was the difference. Hardly walked the league as most mags predicted at the start of the season.

Looking at our squads as they are now I don't see much difference at all. Whether either sign x/y/z is irrelevant at the minute. Another mag on here just said they expect you to finish up to 13th next year. How they can assume that with your signings so far is ridiculous.

The mags are hit and miss for me this year. They could finish 7th or they could finish 20th. They have some very talented players, but the attitudes and on the pitch pairing is way off. Their season depends on how well Benitez covers the deficiencies and compliments the strengths in the defence and CM.

I think Mbemba may come good, in the same way it took Collocini a few years and a relegation to look good. Laschelles has potential but he strikes me as 15th at best quality, the same applies to Clark, who was very good last season but isnt up to it in the Prem. the new lad they have bought looks good on paper, but will he compliment and work well with Mbemba ? That remains to be seen Rafas transfers at the back are as reliable as rolling a dice . Dummett is shit, but will play thanks to the 'local lad' fetish every fan has in this country. He's nowhere near good enough. Lazaar is talented, but doesn't suit the league. Yedlin? Not good enough.

In midfield Diame is suicide in this league. Zero tactical discipline, and the mags don't have a holding player to cover him. Shelvey is a top 7 player imo, very very good, but attitude problems. Should get into double figures in goals + assists even if he has a bad season though. Ritchie is very good, but his output will be reduced in the premier league. Besides those two they have nothing in midfield. Sign a talented inside forward, and an anchor in midfield then play 4-5-1 with two inside forwards then they have a chance.

Up front I do think Gayle can score 10-15 goals next season, he's a good player. As fantastic as Ayoze Perez is he just isn't a goal scorer, yes he had a shit season last year, but he is a top division luxury player, the fact he even turned up to training for a championship club surprises me. And Mitrovic is shite but will still bag a few important goals when the system changes off the bench and takes the opposition by surprise. I think they have enough up to to get 20 goals between them, any signing is a bonus. Up front isnt the problem area for them imo.

Interesting to see who they go out and buy, I expect them to spend around 70m, Delph would be the ideal signing, and they need new fullbacks, a goal keeper and a top quality attacker. Not only that but they need to be the right players to cover the talented 1 trick ponies they have in the side. Pretty much impossible to find them, especially given that Rafa tends to only get 1/3 transfers right. I can see them getting it wrong and being seduced by reputation and fame, and throwing a load of money at Jack Wilshire.

I predict they will finish 15th. However add in the areas that they need to I wouldn't be be surprised to see them comfortable top half.

15th will be either their ceiling or their floor depending on who they bring in from now

Oscar Wilde owa here!

How did Gayle do last time he was in the PL? or Misstrovic ? or the fantastic player Perez who couldn't get a game half the time ?
Mitrovic scored some important goals, Gayle didn't get much game time and Perez was poor. You've picked the two bits I'd disagree with in Perez and Gayle

Perez was good last time in the prem. Gayle was a bench bit part forward for his whole time at palace. I suspect he will start every game for the mags. Mitrovic is shite, but predicting that between him and Perez they will score 5-10 goals between them isn't a huge ask considering they got 15 last time around in the league. 20 goals from them 3 is highly likely. They got 18 all together last time out and that was with Gayle barely playing.

If we're not in the same league as the mags I don't give a fuck about them I just want them to lose every game next season and never score a goal and never sign a payer in the transfer window and Rafa to get caught sniffing coke of Mike Ashley's bellend. Just focus on Sunderland for a while man ya shitehawk

Looking at the business some of the lesser teams are doing and the strength of the teams already established in the league, coupled with the fact Benitez is struggling with signings... They don't have a chance of staying up!

If you look at that squad there are only a few players who are actually premier league quality. Despite the difference in league I'd actually rather have our squad than theirs.

We have a lot more promising youngsters than them, as our academy is really starting to come good by the looks of things.

But even the bigger name signings we have a lot more money's worth than they have in their side; Lens, Kone, Khazri etc who we still have to sell off.

Even with them gone I'd still rather have this squad SG is building than what the mags currently have under Ashley and the waiter.

Sorry like, but im only bothered about Sunderland
