Newcastle Won't Survive.

Nice, I must have missed those games as I seen nothing but scrappy football but as many have said on here you watched them week in and week out so I have to take that into account.

Can only comment on what I seen and it didn't look like that style of football was getting played.

Totally agree but that's where having a title winning manager comes in isn't it?
Championship title yes? lol

No, just that you and your mates have decided that the style of play you erroneously describe as Newcastle's style of play would see us relegated.

That's like me saying if Sunderland keep trying to play rugby they'll get men sent off and they'll go down.

It's my opinion, I'm sure you have had an opinion on Sunderland that a few people will disagree with but that's what these boards are here for.

Championship title yes? lol

The only titles both our lot are ever likely to see.

If you take the traditional top 6 (Man Utd, Chelsea etc), Everton will be up there, then there are good solid established clubs like Southampton, Stoke, West Ham etc, then the likes of Burnley, Palace, Bournemouth etc who have kicked on, will all finish above the mags. Most mags I know are expecting top half/mid table, they're in for a shock. I'm not saying they will go down but I think they will struggle in and around the bottom 6

If my opinion was unfounded I'd expect to be torn to shreds.

Your opinion on Newcastle's playing style is so contrary to the way they actually play it's worthy of ridicule. Newcasdtle haven't been gung-ho for over a decade, arguably the last time we were gung-ho we'll attack more than you, was Keegan's first stint. Even Robson wasn't that adventurous.

Both Championship campaigns were predicated on a solid defence and while Hughton preferred direct play in attack, Benitez favours a more controlling style.

Weird, most Newcastle fans I know are expecting bottom half and a tough season.

I'm just going off the daft c.unts I work with and most of the ones on Twitter. Are they not a good cross section of the toon army?

Not really. Said before that kids on twitter just want attention and will say any old shit. Your mates might just be trying to get a rise off you?

Genuinely people are fairly optimistic that we'll finish comfortably safe, but there's been little serious chatter about a top half finish. I think most would be delighted with 14th, but secretly anything higher than 18th would be celebrated on Tyneside.

What happened to Benitez's controlling style the season before when you had an arguably better side yet went down?
