I’m not obsessed same as I didn’t gloat when we were unbeaten from 1980 to 2008 on Wearside! Given what both clubs have had as owners in last few years it really is 2 bald blokes fighting over a comb!
And yes 5 times the tickets is simply because of its you and us! However my reasons for coming are different as I pointed out
Excellent point well put as well
Have I missed something here??Seen the pound signs with little consideration for anything else.
Hence the jacking of the prices in the first place.
They don't want to give more - not on the report in the op.I said it from the moment the draw happened. The new owners have done some great things since taking over. However I’m going to call it naivety and they have dropped a bollock with this one I’m afraid.
They can field 4 first teamers- given those players will be worth more than our first team- we are getting a free hit here- we are a lowly team playing 2 divisions below- when we beat them again it will hurt like fck
It'll be a chance to do what they want. Here's my totally biased view on the situation.
Given that the demand for tickets from the mags has greatly exceeded their home attendance for the last round of the competition I think it's safe to assume that a sizeable percentage of their support will be coming through to try and give it the big 'un and claim some kind of "result " from this. As in days gone by the majority of these will just be gobby teenagers jumping up and down behind a line of coppers ( hold me back or I'll kill someone syndrome ). What worries me however is that a certain amount of violence will occur and someone may be seriously injured or even worse. I can almost guarantee that damage will be caused to the stadium ( they have a history relating to this ) . The Newcastle united based media will have a field day and any of the good work done by our new owners so far will be undone overnight. More tickets for them = more policing, more violence , more damage to the stadium and surrounding areas and more chance of bad publicity.
It's a no brainer man.
Disagree.Stop worrying about what might and what mightn’t happen. Get yourself there and support the team you love against the team we all f***ing hate. They’ll love nothing better than to take the piss out of a small crowd. FTM
Disagree.
A huge crowd to watch their u23's, that's embarrassing man.
Treat it with the disdain it deserves.
It's a nothing match in a horrible cup comp which should never be happening
Yeah , of course. But that's for a day out at Wembley. Don't give a fuck about the cup, and certainly don't give a fuck about our 1st team playing a team of u23'sIf we got to the final at Wembley would you not go?
If it was the other way round we would take as many as they'd give us.
Its a chance to take the piss.
It'll be full of charvers like when stoke u21 played port Vale - loads of pricks taking videos on their phones of smashing up loos an that

Generally I would agree however, the mags allocation has been taken up by their fans with the most lost ally points, now for one, I am not saying they are not all charvers but one or two maybe house trained.
