He will leave if he gets a better offer, but will stay if he doesn't. In the meantime he curries favour with the Jordee Naschun with such soundbites as
know the fans are supporting me and trying to convince me to stay and I appreciate that
all the while putting the pressure and the onus on the Owner to provide him with sizeable funds.

If he goes - its Ashley's fault for refusing funds
If he stays, it's because of his love for "tha Toon"
If he stays but Newcastle are in a relegation battle, it's because Ashley lied about providing funds

etc etc

Another poster stated that Benitiz has the "easiest job" in the PL and he's absolutely right - nice little retirement fund for him at NUFC

Done an excellent job really.

I’m sure most will be happy he’s staying as I keep reading how shite he is on here and how he demoralises his own players.......

Upped his wages then. Wow he must be on some coin.

Cosy job that.

Disappointed but could be a lot worse. He'll keep them up but circling the pot again season after season.

Why would he quit? The fans hate the owner that much that he doesn’t blamed when things are turning to shit.

When they start winning games it’s all down to him and he’s a genius.

Moans he gets no money and when he gets the chance to spend, he spunks it away on the likes of Almiron and Manquillo.

In reality no one wants him apart from the mags.

Keeps them up comfortably every season with a relatively small budget. Can’t imagine they’d get anyone better if he didn’t sign a new contract, the bastards.

Amazing the lack of criticism he's getting over the Almiron signing.

All you hear is how he adds pace and is an outlet. He's an attacking midfielder who doesn't score or create
It’s what £20m buys nowadays

I love the absolute denial of anything from nufc on here... he’s kept them up without major fear of relegation.

They are a mid table premier league team. Just about the best they or most other clubs can be.

You say it's about the journey not the destination then ignore that most of the season they were one sad plane crash from the relegation zone.

Yeah I guess that’s what I’m (probably badly) saying. Isn’t that the PL dream for most clubs.

I’m must say I’m tired of league one but I don’t miss that league.

He’s doing the job any manager could do. It’s hardly a difficult job is it?
You joking aren’t you? Having to spend consistently huge amounts of money on prospects and in our case players with questionable attitudes just to stay in touch with mid table?

Correct, any manager could do that job, he’s just shattered their(your) transfer record.

Miracle worker I believe he’s been labelled on more than one occasion. He’s bang average, nothing more and nothing less. Any manager could achieve what he with that squad at his disposal. Nothing to wank over.
