Have you seen their goal difference? Best in the country.

Newcastle couldn't beat QPR at home this month.

Away from home the only decent side they've beaten was Leeds iirc, the wins are against the likes of Burton & Rotherham by the odd goal .......
...... Brighton, Huddersfield & Reading won't be so easy.

Comfortable home win IMO. Simply better than Villa

They were 'better' than QPR ;)

They won't win all 3 on that showing at Norwich .... I'd be shocked if they win 1 of them.
hmmm, we hit the bar and the post and their keeper made some great saves. Not a great performance but we created enough chances in the first half to be over.
I think Norwich had won 5 of the last 6, so they had some form as well.

Still conceded twice and lucky it wasn't 3 ....

Villa are abysmal. They'll be lucky to get a point

Stevie will be having a meltdown about going to the Wongadome anarl

People kept saying time after time, until the last few games, that Newcastle would stay up without any problem ..... they went down.

Six weeks ago Newcastle were 9 points clear of 3rd spot, now they're only 5 points ahead of Huddersfield who are playing well.

Newcastle's next 3 away games are consecutive and the first is against the league leaders. The second is against Huddersfield and then it's 4th placed Reading.

It's not impossible that they'll lose all 3 which could easily see them in 3rd place.

Of course they should go up with a multi million pound team, huge resources and Benitez as manager ...... just as they should've stayed up ;)
I recall wiser people than me decreed we were "gone" and the mags were "up" back in September. I just assumed that was still the case. Not sure if Paddy Power paid out yet mind.

yup some horrific defending and a massive gift by Darlow.

Yeah, just like I said .... shit defence & dodgy keeper.

Two days early with the hoping Newcastle lose thread. Probably be another couple before the match as well

Sunderland supporters in a 'hope the Mags lose' thread ...... meanwhile on the Newcastle board everyone wants Sunderland to win

Villa are in free-fall, and fatty has been visiting Greggs again. 1 point from the last 21.

If they lost to Villa, they really would have a problem. The Mags should win this one comfortably.

The next three away however, will be tricky.
