Rather similar to this peculiar loving that you have with this Donald character. He is shafting you with your underpants on, yet you are all queuing up for a turn. In division three.

Now debt free running at a profit after dropping like a stone to league one.

He’s done a good job, if he makes some coin fair play to him.

We don’t have banners and our tongues firmly up his hoop like you do with Rafa nothing similar about it all.

Aye? What’s emerged now?

Given I’m not even abreast of the latest SAFC investment/takeover rumourbollocks I’ve definitely not looked at this for a while.

Nothing has happened. There is no takeover, it’s your bog-standard Ashley diversion which happens every transfer window.

Prediction on the "takeover"

It drags on and on till Benitez contract expires and he takes on a role at another club due to the "uncertainty". Newcastle appoint interim manager that fans immediately hate (due to the fact he isn't Rafa Benitez or a geordie)

Three days later
Deal to buy club falls through. Ashley tells world he never had contact with anyone

7 days later
Newcastle sign unknown foreigner (probably a striker) that is going to be "world class" according to Newcastle fans who have never seen him play. He turns out to be "passionate" "energetic" and "has a high workrate". Dispite the fact he "loves the club" he scores no goals and makes zero impact on the team

10 days later
Perez is sold for silly money. Newcastle fans look at the "net receipts" and talk about another big money signing that eventually they cant get "over the line"

Season starts
Fans blame Ashley for lack of signings losing Perez/Benitez. Ashley blames talk of takeover for not allowing him to nail Benitezs contract down.
Interim manager loses first game. Fans chant for Benitez.

End of season
Newcastle finish 15th. Fans claim with Benitez and takeover they'd have finished second on goal difference and picked up a Nobel prize for Chemistry, an Emmy and the fairs cup.

We don't care anymore, now that we're the current Champions League winners feeder club and their captain was once one of us. Reflected glory is better than no glory at all.
We will get shit like Clarke-Saltor, Galloway and Dunne wouldn’t read too much into feeder club malarkey.

Thought papers had been signed and submitted to Premier League? Sure that’s what is said on Skysports earlier in week.
