evasion is illegal..
avoidance isnt...and new tax avoidance rules get created every day...its an whole industry..

Newcastle have already been busted for this, HMRC investigation is ongoing and will almost certainly result in a criminal prosecution. If that's successful then the Premier League and Football League will both issue fines and other sanctions

Anything happened with the Newcastle tax investigation.

Ongoing

of course avoidance is illegal, if i avoid paying any tax il get done for it

Tax avoidance is legal mate, it's just aggressive planning products set up by tax accountants and barristers, the schemes always get shut down eventually and you have to disclose on your tax return if you're using one of them

It’s not, he’s right. Avoidance is legal, evasion isn’t. It’s why the likes of Jimmy Carr, Gary Barlow and just about every other wealthy individual may be questioned on moral grounds but aren’t in prison.

Top tip - screen shot any mags fb/twitter posts etc. where they say they will win the league/qualify for Champions League etc. As someone earlier said they could be the new Wolves/Everton. I really respect Benitez, and believe if we had him we would still be in the prem, but no bloody way would I trust him to spend a significant amount of cash. He also plays cautionary football. You simply cannot be bank rolled anymore due to FFP. Have a dig in their accounts and their commercial revenue is shit. They are 20 years behind the current top six in North America and Asia and, unless they smash the league, that space is congested already. Everton have money to spend but with no UCL they cannot attract top players, and most of Everton’s squad live in Cheshire - they they even moved the training ground to make this easier. Geography is going to be their undoing. A few top names, Fred etc., and a bit of a cup run but emulating City absolutely impossible.

Personally hope it falls through. Only cos i hate the ***** so i want them to fail miserably the vile bastards.

Some may say its jealousy, yeah you be right as i want them to fall through the leagues to be playing Finchael Abbey Vicars not Champions league.

But i will add i dont watch Premier football or Champions League and have not done so for about 5 years so guess i have no chance of ever seeing clips of them, as long as i dont watch North East news .

Sadly, you can indeed be bankrolled past 'FFP'

All we need is one of his wealthier mates to out do him and buy us out to see which one can spend the most to get the most success which would probably end up with both clubs having a few seasons of success and then kicked to the side of the road after a few years and both end up without a club. I can’t see them doing another city

On the bright side of things an unlimited amount of money and a proven successful manager (CL, PL, foreign success) with the most expensive player in the world does not guarantee winning the Premier League - step forward Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba and Manchester United.

Pep, Klopp and Pochettino are the 3 best managers around in the UK and arguably Europe.
The current ManUtd and Chelsea teams are 5 years off winning the PL, Arsenal even further behind. The owners at Arsenal are not shy of a few quid and have a great stadium and London as the attraction - can you see them winning a PL title in the next 10 years?

the Sheik's attempted takeover of Liverpool last year - for what they claimed would be a record £2billion deal - was dismissed by the Anfield club after they failed to provide proof of funds. One source has indicated to us that the group were time-wasters.

From the daily mail, quite interesting.
