Listened to total sport the last few days and afew have jokingly mentioned Ashley, how would he be welcomed as new owner /invester on here?

Hmmmm will go take a scout around then. Thank you.

Ok well Ashley has not denied a single thing thus far, which he usually does to be fair, so maybe this has some legs after all.

Sky Report ..........

Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nahyan says he has provided proof of funds to Mike Ashley and agreed terms between the two parties have been forwarded to the Premier League over his attempted takeover of Newcastle.

The Bin Zayed Group, of which Sheikh Khaled is chairman, issued a statement on Wednesday which they said aimed to "clarify" timelines surrounding the proposed takeover.

The statement said: "In consideration of the numerous speculations in regards to the timelines of the acquisition of Newcastle United Football Club by Bin Zayed Group, we feel the need to issue this statement.

"Terms have been agreed between us and Mike Ashley; these terms have been reflected in a document, signed by both parties, which has been forwarded to the Premier League.

"The proof of funds statement was forwarded to Mike Ashley's lawyers on April 17 2019.

The so called fit-and-proper Premier League process is a standard procedure which will take time, and we are doing all we can to assist the Premier League during this process.

"We feel the need to clarify this point in order for the fans and the general public to understand the timelines."

The Bin Zayed Group and was attempting to "complete the transaction at the earliest opportunity".

Ashley wants around £350m for the club he bought 12 years ago. Newcastle have been the subject of previous unsuccessful takeover attempts from Amanda Staveley and Peter Kenyon in the last two years.

So is it back to meltdown?,catchment areas and bu..bu..but i'm not bothered
I'll check back in a few hours when twitter confirm something negative to see if the goalposts have been moved back too "eeya the mags are seething":lol::lol:

Is it not better for him if he signs, money for signings from Ashley or paid off if this goes through and they don't want him.
I believe I read somewhere that part of the take over is that they want to retain Benitez, But just like everything else really it's all bollox until confirmed. One strange thing though, it says in the article that plans were agreed on the 17th of april.. that is around the time that talks between Benitez and Ashley went quiet.

Nothing new from Monday this, still Newcastle aren’t commenting, I heard the Arab men are just a front and there’s another party further down the line

I reckon it will all come out on Friday.

Source?

Money Mike Ashley on twitter. I honestly believe it's him.

I’m glad none of you hold a grudge against me for messing up the deal with Shekih Mansour all those years ago. That would’ve been NUFC who had just completed the treble this year, yet you still shop in my stores and sell out SJP. For that I say, ‘thank you’.

Not arsed, you’ve missed the boat.

It’s mid-table from now until the end of time at best just like for the rest of us.
